Scholarships in Nigeria

Africa Education Support (Afresup) is an African Educational Organization set up to support African Students in Secondary Schools and Tertiary Institutions within and across Africa. We have come to see that the major problem facing the African Student is the inability to pay for their education due to high poverty level in the Continent. Considering this, the Afresup was set up to grant support in the form of Scholarships to African Students studying within and across Africa. Our funds are generated by soliciting grants from African Nations and Nationals, Corporate Organizations, UNESCO, etc. The Afresup holds two level of Scholarships every year. The Tertiary Scholarship and the Secondary Scholarship. The tertiary level is targeted towards Africans who are bona fide students of known Tertiary Institutions within and across Africa, while the Secondary Scholarship is for
students in the Secondary Schools within and across Africa.
The Afresup Scholarship does not run through the year. Applications becomes open at a given date and closes at a given date. You can always check on our website to know if application is open. The 2010 editions starts on 28/3/2010 and closes on 30/5/2010
All Scholarship contracts last for a session. However, beneficiaries of Scholarships can reapply for subsequent editions.
The Afresup does not conduct examinations to determine who merits a Scholarship. This is because we believe that everybody does not have the same intelligence level yet everyone deserves education.
Our mode of determining who wins a Scholarship is base solely on random selection. This way Students with high intelligence level and vise-versa will have a chance to go to School on Scholarship.
Selections are in two stages. An initial random selection will be conducted after which all winners will pass through another stage of random selection that will determine the Final winners.
All Afresup Scholarship are paid in cash to beneficiaries.
We wish All African Students good luck as they take hold of this opportunity.
