Our client is a major supplier of project management and engineering services to the international energy sector.

They currently have a contract to provide upgrade work on a large onshore gas field in Nigeria. The project is designed to increase gas production capacity from 10.6 million cubic metres per day (370 mmscfd) at present to 15.6 million cubic metres per day (550 mmscfd), and also increase oil and condensate output by around 15,000 barrels per day bringing the total output to 140,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day.

The client requires a Commissioning Manager for a rotational assignment based on site in Nigeria on a 75/21 day leave cycle. Candidates should have upgrade / brownfield experience and ideally previous experience of working in West Africa.

Equipment includes: Gas trains, Flares, GTG’s, Compressors, Wells, Chemical injection, N2 and upgrading utility systems in all cases integrating new and existing plant over a planned series of two Shutdowns.

Responsibilities:

  • Budget planning and control,
  • Plann all Commissioning execution with DCC, Level 3 planning of all commissioning activities
  • Provide start up sequence to align with Construction activities
  • Set Up ICAPS for the project.
  • Monitor and track progress of all Commissioning deliverables.
  • Client liaison for all activities.
  • Presentations on the project execution.
  • Plan for and resource all FAT and SAT activities.
