Sustainable procurement services encompass everything from finding and selecting potential suppliers, through to pre-qualifying, evaluating and monitoring performance. Each of these is an important step towards the continuous management of risk throughout the supply chain. The company seeks to employ an Audit and Assessment Engineer to be based in Lagos Nigeria, he or she will placed at Job level 3

Purpose of the Job:

The  Engineer will be responsible for verifying compliance and assessment of management systems of suppliers/ contractors who provide a service to the oil and gas industry.

Key responsibilities

The prequalification of suppliers within the oil and gas industry.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Minimum)
  • HSE certification
  • Lead Assessor Certification (via examination)
  • Membership of a relevant professional institution

Desirable Skills

  • Integrity, confidentiality and transparency
  • Report writing skills
  • Awareness of supply chain activities in the oil and gas industry
  • Awareness of the international standards within the oil and gas industry
  • Experience in the delivery of Assessment/ Audits
  • Costumer focused and service oriented
  • PC skills, including MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc

Person specification

The post holder will require 10 years experience, good management skills and an ability to lead a team of Assessors.

The post holder will be based at Lagos but may frequently have to travel to the oil field regions  in the country.
