Job description

MAIN ACTIVITIES :

Supervise fiber optic / power cables installations and pre-commissioning tests activities to ensure that work is achieved

safely in accordance with approved work methodology.

Supervise works associated with the pipelines / flow lines installation: survey and boundary re opening, ditching, welding

and lowering, field joint coating, cathodic protection, pre-commissioning activities (cleaning/gauging, hydrotest and line

drying), etc; to ensure Contractors compliance to approved methodology and procedures.

Ensure adherence to programmed installation schedule and industry best practice for materials handling, paying particular

attention to cable splicing operations.

Coordinate with Operations to ensure compliance with HSE requirements, maintain integrity of existing facilities, and to

ensure compliance with SIMOPS requirements.

Involvement in the Permit to Work preparation, in order to make sure the activity is well organized, in order to avoid any

delay due to the PTW process

Review and analyze planning updates including critical path for discipline related activities; review and approve progress

for discipline related activities.

Review resources, manpower and equipment performance / availability and general standard of works.

Be proactive at anticipation of problems in his discipline; articulate necessary actions, and to inform his hierarchy.

Comment on contractor documents: Method Statement, Procedures, etc, in due time.

Ensure that approved site modifications are implemented and documented for as-built.

Lead any site verification or survey in his discipline and coordinate reporting of result.

Ensure that specific project requirement, specification, issue relating to his discipline is passed to the team, and that

prescribed actions are clarified.

Interface with other disciplines to ensure efficient work coordination, installation conformity and verifications.

HSEQ responsibilities :

− Support and enforce the HSEQ Project objectives and directives.

− Support and implement the Project HSEQ management system (plans, procedures and specifications)

− Attend HSEQ meetings and training when required

− Participate in Job Safety Analysis and make safety suggestions

− Report any unsafe acts or conditions observed

Job requirements

REQUIRED COMPETENCES AND BACKGROUND:

Qualification: University Degree or equivalent in Engineering

Experience: Successful candidate should have 10 to 15 years cognate experience in construction and precommissioning

of Oil & Gas facilities, pipelines / flow-lines and fiber optics / power cable installations.

Skills: Ability to work in difficult terrain. Should have good interpersonal and communication skills.

Computer Literacy: Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Power point
