Chevron Nigeria Ltd is currently seeking candidates for the position of Subsea Equipment Operations Engineer. This is a rotational position on a deepwater drill ship.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: overseeing maintenance on the blow out preventer, coordinating service companies to install subsea completions including IWOCS, and subsea test trees, technical support for subsea wellhead system, capturing lessons learned in database, writing equipment failure reports as necessary, and interfacting with a multitude of service partners and the Chevron team

Educational Requirement
Candidate must have a bachelor degree in engineering.

Work Experience
A minimum of seven years of combined experience in drilling, completions, subsea intervention, and deepwater operations.

Additional Requirement
Preference will be given to candidates who have subsea well intervention or subsea equipment operations experience.

JV Completion Engineer

JV Completion Engineer works as part of a functional group that supports Asset teams. This position will also be required to support and supervise the execution of the completion operations onsite (rig). The position is responsible for performing technical completion engineering for well design, well planning, operations support and review of rig requirements. JV Completion Engineer is expected to apply Risk Assessment and Completions Engineering practices in all well programs, as well as capture and share lessons learned and best practices with the work group and global D&C community.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
– Completion Execution – participate on a Rig team to monitor and execute the completion and workover/intervention program
– Provide engineering and technical support to the Superintendent and Well Site Manager/Company Man as necessary to execute the work program. Write and/or reviews rig site specific procedures.
– Support and actively participate in Health, Safety and Environment efforts to achieve goal of zero incidents.
– Identify and implement well operation performance improvement opportunities.
– Coordinate QA/QC of completion equipment.
– Works in a team environment. Interface with Drilling & Completions office and field personnel, asset teams, Third Party services, HES and logistics personnel on daily basis.
– Focus on all well completion and workover/intervention planning and execution issues including the development of long lead item lists.
– Development of well completion programs and procedures.
– Recommend completion design alternatives (tubular design, connectors, artificial list, sand control, stimulation, intelligent well completion, etc)
– All aspects of completion program design, development and permitting. Coordinate the gathering of data for design criteria; including offset well data, reservoir data, produced fluids types, etc.
– Implement well completion on paper exercises and participates in procedural risk assessment.
– Participation in the Chevron Project Development and Execution Process (CPDEP) phase gate meetings
– Mentor early career engineers

Educational Requirement:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with a minimum of second class lower Divsion.

Work Experience:
Ten years or more experience in completion design and operations experience, planning and executing offshore wells.(shallow water).
Experience in sand control completion (e.g. frac packs, gravel packs, expandable sand screen, stand alone screen) and artificial lift (e.g. gas lift, ESP).

Additional Requirement
– Proven competency in completion design, planning, and execution of variety of sand control completions (e.g. frac pack, gravel pack, expandable screens, stand alone screens) and artificial lift (e.g. gas lift, ESP).
– Project management skills – Ability to direct and coordinate the work activities of suppliers and Chevron Engineering Technology Company.
– Demonstrated operational experience in a challenging and remote location.
– A valid WellCap Well Control Certificate will be an advantage.
– Applicants must be able to successfully complete Chevron’s IADC-certified Well Control training in order to achieve certification for well control.
– Fluent in reading, writing and speaking English
– Strong communication and leadership skills for interaction with technical employees in the work group, their peers, and internal and external customers
