The specific responsibilities of the Technical Talent Recruiter will include:

  • Networking with relevant hubs, communities, thought leaders, and partners that connect Andela to the best technical talent on the continent.
  • Building and driving processes to track, engage, and maintain positive relationships with a wide range of technologists across Africa.
  • Inspiring technical leaders to want to support and work for Andela.
  • Enabling Andela to meet its need for full-time and consultant technical hires.

Job Title: Success Operations Lead
Location:
Lagos

Job Description

  • The Success Operations Lead will ensure that Andela’s Success team balances the needs of Fellows and Clients and provides both complete support.
  • She/he is passionate about Andela’s mission and technology and is able to remain flexible and wear many hats to help meet growing and changing needs of a start up.
  • This position is full-time based at Andela’s office in Nairobi, Kenya or Lagos, Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities of the Role

  • Provide day-to-day support to the Success team to help meet their goals and promote growth.
  • Help in the on-boarding of new Success team members with training and materials to ensure that team members are true representatives of Andela
  • Create and maintain process documentation and onboarding materials
  • Coordinate international travel and scheduling for all members of the Success team to ensure coverage across all client and Fellow obligations
  • Track and monitor Fellow requests to Success for assessments and scoring to ensure that the department is meeting its SLAs
  • Monitor and analyze Success team performance.
  • Help to identify and implement new procedures and best practices to reduce friction and increase the efficiency of the Success team.
  • Assist with data collection to make better decisions.
  • Establish and manage processes for information flow to assure data for the Success Metrics are correctly entered and up to date in real-time
  • Submit weekly Success reports
  • Run the quarterly Client and Fellow surveys, collate the data, identify important trends and prepare it for reporting
  • Work with Director of Product Management and Director of Talent and Growth to define ways to better leverage the data that Andela is already collecting on Clients and Fellows as well as identify what else needs to be collected
  • Coordinate Senior Consultants and other remote team members of Success
  • Represent and touch base with all remote Success team members on a regular basis to ensure that they feel part of the overall Andela community.
  • Work with Senior Consultants and Technical Project Managers to ensure that their engagements are proceeding smoothly and that any warning flags are escalated to the Directors of Success as quickly as possible.
  • Establish and maintain an engagement dashboard to track the quality of all team and project engagements to provide quick visibility for this initiative.

Qualifications and Characteristics

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • At least 4 years of experience in team operations
  • Extremely well-organized, with strong attention to details
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with remote staff.
  • Prior experience with offshore project delivery and / or program management
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with key stakeholders
  • Strong written and oral communications skills with the ability to converse with all levels of the organization
  • Strong logistical management and analytics skills
  • Strong proficiency with Google Apps: Calendar, Hangouts, Docs, -Sheets

Job Title: Recruitment Manager

Job Description

  • The Fellow Recruitment Manager is responsible for leading one of Andela’s most core functions: attracting, evaluating and selecting  prospective world-class technologists that are the strongest fit for the Andela Fellowship.
  • Success in this role will mean that Andela can identify, attract, select, and retain increasingly talented and increasingly effective Fellows in each cycle and point to the systems, processes, and data that explain the rationale behind the improved decision making.
  • The Fellow Recruitment Manager will lead Andela Lagos in inventing and implementing world-class sourcing and selection policies that drive the organization’s core performance indicators.

Responsibilities
The specific responsibilities of the Fellow Recruitment Manager, Andela Lagos includes:

  • Setting regional recruitment team’s objectives, priorities, and resources to align with organizational objectives.
  • Developing and monitoring metrics for measuring process implementation and recruiting effectiveness.
  • Developing, reviewing and implementing creative recruiting strategies to reach prospective applicants.
  • Liaising and maintaining relationships with recruitment channel partners and vendors including developing partnership agreements and monitoring performance of these channels.
  • Developing, coordinating and implementing the calendar of fellow recruitment activities to ensure it is done in a timely and effective manner.
  • Strong leadership and management of the Lagos Recruitment Team
  • Ensuring implementation of systems for responding to enquiries from prospective fellows knowledgeably and professionally.
  • Building and integrating effective candidate referrals systems.

Job Title: Senior iOS Developer

About the Senior iOS Developer Position

  • As a Senior iOS Developer, you will primarily work as a Lead Developer and Technical Team Lead for one of Andela’s off-shore clients. Our clients operate in a wide-range of industries, but their common thread is that they create mobile and/or web-based products that bring value to their customers through the use of technology.
  • As the senior member of your client’s Andela team, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of your work as well as any developers that work under you. Our core consulting model is embedded software developers and teams, so although you will be working off-shore, you will be working remotely alongside the client’s team as well as your own. Your day-to-day might include everything from participating in daily standups with your client to estimating the level of effort of work associated with your (and your team’s) tasks.
  • In addition to your client work, you will also serve as a mentor and technical resource to Andela developers outside of your team.

The specific responsibilities of the Senior iOS Developer position include:

  • Interfacing with your client to understand their business, goals and visions for products being supported by an Andela Team

  • Have a four-year degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field from an accredited university.
  • Have at least 5 years of experience working in software development
  • Have built and deployed iOS applications using Objective C and/or Swift
  • Have experience leading technical teams using Agile methodologies
  • Have experience working remotely as an effective member of a team
  • Have a vibrant personality and exceptional communication skills (English, verbal and written)
  • A strong desire to mentor other developers
