Job Title: Web Application Developer
Location:
Anambra
Job Description

  • We’re looking for a proven developer who knows their limits, and wants to go beyond them.
  • This position is not for someone who needs or wants to always be directed.
  • We want a developer who takes pride in managing a project from inception to implementation.
  • As the Web Application Developer, you will be responsible for the day to day creation, development and management of SCI’s web and reporting systems.

Responsibilities include:

  • Handle assignments across varying areas of expertise and will likely be called upon to serve in multiple roles with respect to development and reporting;
  • Determine objectives of project based on project analysis and insight and execute independently with general direction;
  • Take a hands-on approach to developing company reporting and analytics, dashboards and companywide views into data systems which will drive operational efficiency and be used as the measuring tools for many metrics of business performance;
  • Manage, create, update, maintain and train on SCI applications and reporting systems;
  • Creates custom companywide reporting;
  • Develop and present material for review and information using strong written, verbal, and graphical communications skills with the ability to express complex technical concepts effectively to senior management;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements
Successful candidates will have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field of study;
  • Significant experience in the role of online developer;
  • Excellent analytical prowess, with the ability to use data-driven analysis using technology tools available;
  • Extensive experience with a variety of front and back technologies (MySQL and SQL server, SharePoint, WordPress, Python, JavaScript, MS Windows and Linux Server environments, PHP, Django, CSS, Active Directory environments, IIS and Apache Services (configuring and maintaining environment, experience with Cloud-based Server environments, etc.);
  • SQL server administration skills.

 

Job Title: Computer Training Specialist
Location: Anambra
Report to: Director Technology

Job Function

  • Plan, develop and coordinate training programs for District personnel in the use of on-line computer terminals;
  • Provide resource assistance to District personnel in the use of computer applications; develop training and technology materials related to computer operations and applications.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop and coordinate training programs for District personnel related to office automation and the use of on-line computer terminals.
  • Develop training materials and technology materials related to computer operations and applications.
  • Coordinate end-user training related to information services and mainframe applications.
  • Coordinate the development and maintenance of computer resource files.
  • Provide technical resource consulting to certified and classified personnel in the use of computers and computer applications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain regular attendance.

Knowledge and Abilities
Knowledge of:

  • Developing and conducting training programs.
  • Mainframe computer operations and related applications, including on-line terminal use.
  • Provide technical training and assistance with mainframe applications and hardware.
  • Operate mainframe terminals and peripheral equipment.
  • Prepare and deliver oral presentations.
  • Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
  • Maintain current knowledge of technological advances in the field.
  • Work independently with little direction.
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation and vocabulary.
  • Oral and written communication skills.
  • Public speaking techniques.
  • Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy. ABILITY TO:
  • Plan, develop and coordinate training programs for on-line terminal users.
