KPMG – Our client is a Global Company operating in Africa, Middle East and Asia. The Group has diverse Business interests in FMCG, Agriculture & Allied, Pharmaceuticals, Chemicals, IT, Oil Field Services, etc.

As a part of its growth and expansion plans, the Company is seeking to recruit self driven, experienced and motivated individuals to fill select positions within the Group’s various businesses.

The client seeks to fill the following key positions:

1.) Head of Insurance

Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for the Insurance function as it relates to insurance management of the company.
  • Advise on local and international insurance matters including any regulatory/statutory requirements that may affect the company’s activities.
  • Ensure the periodic review of all insurance policies, procedures and practices to ensure alignment with National Insurance Commission’s (NAICOM) stipulations.
  • Monitor and study the impact of new insurance regulations that may affect activities and proffer recommendations.
  • Ensure periodic review of risks to be managed via insurance to ensure adequate coverage under existing policies.
  • Recommend relevant insurance policies for uncovered risks.
  • Champion the negotiation of optimal premium rates with insurance providers (both at the local and global levels)

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (preferably in Accounting or Finance)
  • Professional Accounting/Finance certification, (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIA)
  • A minimum of 12 years relevant experience with at least 5 years in management level.
  • Experience leading the insurance function of a large FMCG/ Manufacturing organisation, with proven leadership track record.
  • Deep knowledge of the local and global insurance key drivers and trends.

2.) Head of Transportation & Logistics

Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Group Executive Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for the overall accountability of planning, coordinating and managing the fleet including related general administration.
  • Manage Company’s fleet and coordinate drivers.
  • Ensure the security of all the vehicles of the Company including but not limited to arranging tracking for all cars, engraving all their parts, etc.
  • Monitor and ensure the routine and need based maintenance of vehicles in conjunction with the Engineering department.
  • Relate with the vehicles documentation desk to ensure that all vehicles particulars (e.g. registration, insurance) are complete.
  • Track and analyze the vehicle wise cost of fuel, maintenance, and other recurring expenses pertaining to running of the vehicle in specified manner.
  • Implement and maintain quality systems and continuously improve methodologies with specific focus on growth, cost reduction and process improvements.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline Degree/Certificate course in Transport Management.
  • Minimum 12 years experience of handling same
  • Excellent knowledge in a transport function within an FMCG/ Manufacturing Company
  • Good writing and communication skills

3.) Head of Administration (2 Required)

Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Executive Director-HR & Administration, the successful candidate will be responsible for the overall accountability of the Administration function with specific focus on aligning the Administration department with the ongoing and emerging requirements of the organisation. This function will also include lead supervisory and managerial roles.
  • Provide leadership to the Administration function.
  • Manage residential accommodations including searching/sourcing new accommodation, negotiating and closing new leases, accommodation related inventory, renovations, etc.
  • Liaise with all levels of government and their parastatals in matters of rates and levies, environment, petitions against the company and/or staff, seeking approvals on different matters and negotiating the best deals for the Company.
  • Implement and maintain quality systems and ensure continuous improvement of methodologies with specific focus on growth, cost reduction and process improvements.
  • Prepare and track Administration department’s budget and costs.
  • Design Administration goal and objectives in line with Organizational objectives.

Requirements

  • A Masters Degree in Public Administration/any discipline from a reputed institute/university,
  • Minimum 12 years experience of with at least five 5 years in management level.
  • Working knowledge of the FMCG/manufacturing industry.
  • Good oral and written proficiency in English.
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Functional expertise, decision making, planning and execution and analytical skills.
  • Good knowledge of ERP applications e.g. SAP and Oracle.

4.) Head of Human Resources (2 Required)

Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Executive Director – HR & Administration, the successful candidate will be responsible for the overall accountability of group HR function with specific focus on aligning HR with business strategy, developing portfolio strategy, setting operational direction, reviewing and evaluating operating mechanisms
  • Control manpower cost at group level.
  • Participate in management discussion on business strategy and align the HR function with business strategies.
  • Initiate and monitor Company sponsored compensation market surveys, participate in sponsored market surveys and analyze survey observations for Management.
  • Manage strategic HR processes
  • including Manpower Planning, Talent Management, Leadership Development, Recruitment, Learning & Development,
  • Performance Management, Career Planrnng, Succession Planning, etc.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (preferably in Social Science).
  • MBA/Post Graduate Diploma in HR & IR from a reputed institute/university
  • A minimum of 15 years experience with at least 7 years in management level.
  • Experience leading the HR function of a large FMCG/manufacturing organisation with proven leadership track record.
  • Good knowledge of ERP applications e.g. SAP and Oracle.
