Academic Staff Positions: Qualifications and Experiences Required

Lecturer Cadre
1.) Senior Lecturer – CONPCASS-07

Qualification

• A candidate for this post must possess any of the following qualifications and experience;
• A PhD Degree in relevant discipline with at least 9 years teaching/research in Institution of higher learning plus three Journals and four Conference paper or.
• A Masters Degree with at least 12 years teaching/research.
• Such a candidate must have published a total of three Conference/Seminar papers, three Journal articles accepted for publication, or contribution of two chapters in a standard text book(s).

2.) Lecturer I – CONPCASS – 06

Qualification

• A candidate for this post must possess Master’s Degree plus at least 6 years teaching/research work in higher Institute of learning plus two Journals accepted for publication plus two Conference/Seminar papers or a Doctorate Degree in relevant discipline plus three years teaching/research plus two journal publications and five conference/seminar papers.
• Membership of relevant professional body is mandatory.

3.) Lecturer II – CONPCASS – 04 

Qualification
A candidate for this pot must possess relevant Masters Degree plus at least six years teaching/research or a Doctorate Degree in relevant discipline plus three publications and three journal/conference/seminar papers or; A good Bachelors Degree (minimum of second class Lower Division) in relevant discipline plus at least one journal article accepted for publication and two conference/seminar papers with at least six years teaching/research in higher Institute of learning.

4.) Lecturer III – CON PCASS – 03

Qualification
A candidate for this post must be a holder of a good Bachelor’s Degree (minimum of second Class Lower division) in relevant discipline plus at least three years teaching/research or a Masters Degree plus at least one conference/seminar paper.

5.) Principal Technologist – CONPCASS – 06
Qualification

• A candidate for this post must possess a good HND at credit level in relevant field with at least nine years post qualification cognate experience with evidence of production or fabrication of two functional projects in the relevant discipline.
• Membership of relevant professional body is mandatory.

6.) Senior Technologist – CONPCASS – 04

Qualification
A candidate for this post must possess a good HND at credit level, in the relevant discipline plus at least six years post qualification cognate experience with evidence of production or fabrication of one functional project in the relevant discipline.

7.) Technologist I – CONPCASS – 03

Qualification

• A candidate for this post must possess HND at credit level in relevant field, from recognized Institution plus at least three years post qualification cognate experience.
• There should be evidence of production or fabrication of one functional project in the relevant discipline.

8.) Technologist II – CONPCASS – 02

Qualification
Candidate must possess a HND at credit level from a recognized Institution plus NYSC discharge Certificate in relevant discipline.

9.) Technician – CONTEDISS 06

Qualification
A candidate for this post should be a holder of National Diploma in relevant field from a recognized institution of higher learning or equivalent with at least 3 years post-qualification cognate experience.
