Account Technology Strategist Communication Sector, Oil & Gas
The Account Technology Strategist (ATS) adds value to Microsoft by providing technical guidance to customers, resulting in expanded deployments of Microsoft technology, including Windows 7 and Office 2010 adoption in FY11 within targeted accounts. Additionally, this role will ensure specific deployments of Share-point Portals and the entrenchment of SCCM/SCOM in the enterprise as the management tool of choice.
The ATS role adds value by:
Developing a healthy IT Infrastructure and Client pipeline of qualified opportunities.
Creating and maintaining IT Profiles on customers, including IO Discovery data for all 3 IO Models and IT level business drivers.
Identifying the gaps in IO, Deployment and Security within customer accounts and contributing to opportunity generation plans to address the gaps.
Ensuring that the capability led selling framework is embraced for the acceleration of our sales motion & driving sales through the maturity of workloads in specific customer profiles.
Defining IT Infrastructure and Client solutions that address customer pains and/or opportunities.
Ensuring handoffs to, and engagements with, the appropriate resources (within the ATU or STU, to Partners and/or Services) at the appropriate phase of the MSSP.
Delivering presentations, briefings or technology reviews that reinforce the IT Infrastructure for a People-Ready Business value propositions.
Ensuring that customers are aware of the Microsoft Enterprise Product Roadmap and the Security benefits of a Microsoft-centric technology stack.
Contributing to the recruitment, engagement and readiness of Partners who can help the ATS role scale capacity.
Requirements:
5-8 years of related experience
MBA/Master’s Degree
Bachelor’s Degree
Technical sales or consulting position within an IT Consulting or Services company such as Cisco, Accenture, EDS, IBM Global Services, HP, Capgemini or equivalent
Technical sales or consulting position in a competing software company, particularly IBM, Oracle or a software company with a Linux focus
Worked within the financial services industry managing their IT infrastructure particularly from any of the 24 Banks in Nigeria. (middle to senior level positioning)
