Nigerian Breweries Plc, the pioneer and largest brewing company in Nigeria, was incorporated in 1946 and recorded a landmark when the first bottle of STAR Lager beer rolled off the bottling lines in its Lagos Brewery in June 1949. Today, Nigerian Breweries is recruiting for:

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Industrial Training Fund (ITF) and the Nigeria Employers’ Consultative Association (NECA) in collaboration with Nigerian Breweries Plc, wish to admit qualified young Nigerians of sound character and learning potential to undertake an intensive 6 – 9 month training programme on Technical Skills Development in the following areas:

Basic Mechanical Maintenance
Utility Equipment Operation
Packaging Machine Operation
Brewing Equipment Operation

2.OBJECTIVES
1.To train and equip youths with employable skills in the vocational
areas above

2.To promote a Public-Private sector Model in Vocational/Technical
skills Training and contribute to capacity development.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates must possess NABTEB/WAEC TECH. /C&G certificates with CREDIT in English Language, Mathematics and three other related subjects in the following trades:
Mechanical & Engineering Craft, Electrical & Installation Maintenance, Welding & Fabrication, Instrumentation, Radio &TV Installation &Maintenance

4. AGE

Applicants should not be above 25 years as at time of application

5. APTITUDE TEST/INTERVIEW

Shortlisted applicants will go through a selection exercise (aptitude tests, oral interview and medical examination). Candidates will arrange own transportation, accommodation and feeding during the exercise.

JOB REMUNERATION
Successful candidates will enjoy free tuition and lunch. It is a non- residential training at the Technical Learning Centre, Nigerian Breweries Plc, Ibadan.

Trainees will be paid a monthly allowance to cover their cost of transportation and out-of- pocket expenses for the duration of training.

They will receive hands-on training at any Nigerian Breweries location in Lagos, Aba, Kaduna, Ibadan and Enugu.

Although this programme does not confer Nigerian Breweries employee status on the Trainee, successful graduands from this scheme may be considered for employment based on available vacancies.
