IT Application Support and Maintenance Specialist

Main Purpose of the Job

• Application Support Management-Responsible for the Support and Administration of the Bank Application (Finacle & Pricing & Reports) and Services (UNIX) used by the Production for business continuity.
• Application maintenance Management -Management and Delivery of content and Services Online; tracking and ensuring all application defects and requirement are promptly resolve.

Key Responsibilities
• Providing capacity planning, monitoring, and maintenance of the Bank Application (Finacle & Pricing & Reports etc)
• Understanding, in depth, the business processes supported by the Bank Application (Finacle & Pricing & Reports etc)
• To maintain production environments relating to online services. This will include development, DR and production Applications.
• To ensure that applications are maintained in a manner that supports delivery of services to multiple platforms(Peripherals) , resilience, and performance
• To ensure continuity of the business processes supported by one or many applications / services
• Ensuring continuity and quality by owning the resolution of issues across platforms. Tracking progress and escalating as appropriate unless resolution reached
• To ensure standards and guidelines are applied and maintained across applications for administration, deployment and monitoring over a range of platforms that largely comprises Bank standard Process flow. This includes applications, web server components and databases
• To ensure applications and services processes and outputs are error free and complete
• Identifying faults and issues and recommending appropriate paths to resolution, and fixing as appropriate
• Ensuring appropriate contingency/workaround  procedures are in place for process failure or defect pending resolution ensuring business continuity
• Managing change control (CR) implications for designated Application
• Contributing to process development and best practice. Looking at new ways to improve resilience, performance levels and supportability
• To ensure that applications and related services are documented and kept in a path accessible by the Team
• To establish and maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders
• Reviewing and ensuring complete and appropriate handover of documentation prior to operational acceptance of new or changed applications
• To undertake advanced administration tasks as required e.g. to support problem resolution
• To support the development teams and the 24/7 group in deploying applications and solving problems and
• To participate in the on-call support to the 24/7 team
• Manages and meeting weekly with Application Vendors to review and provide resolution to End users issue. Evaluating Remedy incidence/work request and tracking issues

IT Solutions Developer

Position Description• Understand the bank’s current system architecture.
• Work with the business to design cutting edge custom-applications that will allow our meet business to stay ahead of the competition and achieve their strategic goals.
• Take the leading role in the design of new solutions and engender innovation within the team.
• Ensure the design of applications according to business specifications
Key responsibilities
• Recommend and design structures and tools for systems which meet business needs, delivering the technical visualization of proposed applications for approval by the business and execution by the development team.
• Assist in the preparation of technical plans and produce detailed component specifications, translating these into detailed designs for implementation using selected products.
• Provide advice on technical aspects of system development and integration and ensure that relevant technical strategies, policies, standards and practices are applied correctly.

eChannel Application Support Officer

• E-Channels applications support e.g. Postilion for ATM, POS and Visa/ Master Cards solutions, Finacle  Internet Banking, Telephone Banking, Finacle USSD
Key Responsibilities
E-Channel Applications Support
1. Management and support of the Bank’s Postilion Front End Processor (FEP), Postilion Navigator, Postilion Office, Postilion Realtime and other ancillary systems
2. Channels Integration and Postilion Application implementation and Support
3. Cards Solutions support e.g. Visa/Master/Verve e.t.c.
4. Finacle Internet Banking, Mobile Banking and USSD support
5. Administration and support of e-Payment solutions e.g. PayDirect, WebPay, BankCollect, eTransact, LASG EBS-RSM payment systems
6. Timely resolution of e-Channel applications incidents raised within the agreed SLA
7. Investigate of system anomaly and proffer a solution
8. E-Channel applications testing
9. Upgrade deployment / implementation
10. Support banking application projects relating to eChannels
11. Monitor and ensure 24-hour availability of e-channel applications
12. Configure, install custom-developed e-channel applications

IT Test Analyst

Job purpose
• System testing of projects and code. Production of test strategies, test plans, defect tracking, requirements capture and analysis to agreed deadlines.
• Responsible for completing and maintaining up-to-date, high quality test strategies, test plans and scripts to agreed deadlines.
• Adopts a flexible approach to completing workload to ensure delivery within agreed timeframes.
• Plans and estimates project activities with team leader
Key responsibilities
•Establish test approach/plan for projects
•Establish acceptance criteria and schedule for test cycles (CIT, SIT, UAT)
•Establish testing team quality standards and quality assurance processes
•Establish best practices and processes for testing team
•Coordinate the testing efforts on key Bank Projects from Initiation through to Closure
•Establish standards and processes for Test Analysts and other test resources to manage their areas of responsibilities

IT Service Management Analyst

• Supporting  team track (in country) and remedy solution for internal customer support group and the business
• Real time monitoring and communication on critical bank’s services using ITM
• Afterhours resource management for IT

• Manage  the established change management  process
• Develop adequate MIS reporting from service desk and team track database

IT Production/Data Processing Officer

•To process data by running End of day activities on application systems, take backup of databases, generate reports, print and circulate.
•Ensure that all work request / incidents logged in Remedy are responded to and resolved within the agreed time frame. Also ensure that calls are escalated and communicated to the required support area and user.
•Provide high level competency with regard to application systems monitoring.
Key Accountabilities/KRA
•Run and Support End of day processing & End of month processing e.g. Core Banking (Finacle Banking Application), Pricing, ODS, HP&L, MOD etc.
•Take backup of application databases on Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Sybase, etc on daily basis.
•Take backup of Bank’s third party applications.
•Data Centre Monitoring (i.e. Temperature, Humidity, etc ) using Environmental Monitoring System (Netbotz)
•Development of scripts for data downloads / extractions.
•Finacle Functional Support.
•Development of Reports, customization and maintenance.
•Projects support & Implementation.
•Provide workaround solutions to Equinox archival issues
•Support Interfacing of external Applications to Finacle Banking software.

IT Security Analyst

To provide an operational IT Security support to ensure that the bank is not compromised in anyway.  The operation support includes anti-virus, intrusion detection, key management as well the delivery of and content scanning of all internet mail incoming and outgoing.
Ensuring that all incidents are responded to, actioned and resolved within the required MTTR. Also ensure that calls are escalated and communicated to the required support area and user.
Participates in the design and development of processes and controls to manage and monitor authorized requests for access to enterprise applications.
Participates in the design and development of processes to monitor and assess security compliance practices, monitors logical access and participates in internal audits to determine if security objectives, processes and controls are effectively applied, maintained and performed as expected.
Participates in the design of user authentication and authorization systems to manage data access privileges; data collection and management procedures and information security controls.
Contributes to plans for performance reports and audit processes and participates in the design of application, middleware and other security controls, administration tests, test scripts criteria and procedures.
Participates in security related problem identification, analysis and resolution, including procedural, operational and technical problems in a collaborative environment.
Recommends appropriate corrective and risk mitigation activities.
Identifies and sets appropriate security and parameters in configurable software to meet operations security requirements.
Participates in the assessment of the effectiveness of the data security processes and procedures against industry standards and guidelines.
Provide high level competency with regard to mainframe IT security systems
Conduct regular risk assessments of IT controls against desired security state

IT Project Manager

• Contribute to successful project delivery by driving continuous improvement, coordinating projects, tracking status, budget and ensuring resources availability.
• Understand the bank’s current Project Governance Strategy.
• Ensure owners of operational actions complete them and provide regular updates to project stakeholders and teams
• Planning Strategy Roadmap with Head of Unit to complete and actualize deliverables
• Control, update, and report financials for projects and other cost for IT Department
• Work with the project team to document project status, track and ensure resolution of project issues.
• Ensure that appropriate standard project practices and procedures are followed and documentations, sign offs are managed and updated regularly.
• Work with Head of Unit to conduct Project Audit during project closure.
• Track and update monthly financials on assigned projects
• Must have an understanding and demonstrate use of Project Management Methodologies.
