Our client requires a HSE Advisor for a 12 month contract; however the expected duration of the service is 3 years. You will initially be based in France for 1 – 3 months, then in the Port Harcourt area, Nigeria with missions to France. You must be eligible to work in the EU to be considered for this role. The planned start date is 1/9/2010.

Project Information:

*OFP2 production platform (3X30Mw power station, oil treatment (105000bbl/d), gas treatment for export, gas lift and fuel gas, water treatment en injection, topside weight 11000t)
*OFQ living quarter platform (124 beds)
*Three wellhead platforms to accommodate 33 additional wells.
*In field sealines and new gas export sealines.
*Modification and partial decommissioning on existing facilities (one production platform and 2 WH platform)

The duties will include:-

*Review Contractor’s HSE management systems and control implementation
*Keep track in changes in regulations, standards, Company rules and inform the project
*Define HSE training plan and ensure its implementation
*Organize HSE Project risk management reviews and update HSE Project risk management file
*Monitor and record HSE activities of the project.
*Collect and report HSE statistics, and analyse HSE performance vs. objectives
*Analyse incidents, perform investigations, organise feedback to management and personnel
*Perform safety audits of Contractor Engineering & construction site.
*Ensure that actions from reviews, audits, etc. are completed.
*Assist Operations in preparation of commissioning and start up procedures.
*Prepare HSE bridging documents for offshore works
*Organise safety meeting (monthly management, safety committee meetings)
*Ensure that the safety actions decided are diligently completed.
*Have a functional Reporting role to Project HSE Manager
*Participate in Internal and External Audits of Contractors and Subcontractors yards, offices and workshops. as required
*Report on Man hours, and Key Performance Indicators
*Presents Safety Talks / Feedback reports
*Ensure the prevention and precautions against, or adequate control of, exposure to hazardous substances, and danger from inflammable, explosive, electrical, noise, radiation and manual handling risks.

It is essential that you hold a diploma or equivalent and have over 10 years experience to be considered for this role.
