Worleyparsons Nigeria seeks the services of a Transport Coordinator, Job Code: NG-LAG-2009-16555  this is a full time position to be based in Lagos Nigeria.

oversee the daily operations of the DeltaAfrik Transport Section.

position Summary:

Management of the fleet database.
Ensure vehicle documents and insurance papers are current. 
Supervise driver selection and training.
Ensure contract drivers meet the terms of their contracts with DeltaAfrik.
Assist in arranging and planning initial and recurring driver specialty training for safety and skill development. Plan future driver and vehicle requirements, selection, acquisition, training, operation and maintenance.
Ensure appropriate maintenance schedules and records are established and adhered to for transportation assets.
Coordinate spare part orders, maintenance and accountability.
Coordinate with security for accident response and documentation including personal presence at the scene if required.
Initiate safety and vehicle accident reports as appropriate, to include investigation and follow up action items.
Oversee the compiling of the monthly statistics reports and investigate abnormalities.
Co-chair the weekly drivers safety meeting.
Develop the weekly / monthly driver roster and requirements.
Ensure all vehicles are equipped with the required documentation and safety equipment as per Nigerian Law and DeltaAfrik guidelines.  To include vehicle insurance. 
Establish and maintain an inventory of all equipment assigned to the Transportation Section to include vehicles.
Ensure the vehicle tracking system is working in all vehicles.

Carry out any other task, which may be assigned by the Transport & Journey Management Supervisor.
