Job Title: HR Manager
Location: Lekki / Ajah, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Description

  • We are currently seeking for a skilled HR Manager who is passionate about HR and highly efficient to join our real estate team in Lagos. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Hr Manager will recruit, support, and develop talent through policies and managing procedures.

  • The HR Manager will be responsible for managing the entire employment process, including orientation and training of new staff members, responsible for developing and implementing HR initiatives and systems, providing counselling on policies and procedures, and being actively involved in the company’s processes, by bringing in new initiatives to ensure progress. Will also be responsible for creating and implementing effective onboarding plans, developing training and development programs, and assisting in performance management processes. The HR Officer will support the management of disciplinary and grievance issues and maintain employee records according to the company’s policy and legal requirements.
  • The goal will be to provide excellent assistance and support to employees and the management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
  • Manage the recruitment and selection process.
  • Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital.
  • Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization.
  • Nurture a positive working environment.
  • Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
  • Maintain payroll database and benefits program.
  • Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs.
  • Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics.
  • Ensure legal compliance throughouthuman resource management.
  • Recruiting staff – this includes developing job descriptions and person specifications, preparing job adverts, checking application forms, shortlisting, interviewing, and selecting candidates.
  • Provide analytical and well documented recruiting reports to the rest of the Managing Director
  • Assist in performance management processes.
  • Support the management of staff disciplinary and grievance issues.
  • Create and maintain accurate staff database.
  • Identifying areas where employees can improve with the help of department heads and creating training strategies.
  • Managing employee safety and wellness within the organization
  • Overseeing employee performance
  • Organizing periodic performance appraisals

Qualifications

  • BSc / BA in Business Administration, Social Studies, or relevant field.
  • At least 5 years experience in related field
  • CIPM, PHR Certification from the HR certification Institute.
  • Evidence of training certificates in related field is an added advantage.

Requirement and Skills:

  • Proven experience in Human resource management.
  • Admirable knowledge of HR function (Recruitment, training & development, crewing, leave schedule, staff appraisals etc)
  • Understanding of Labour law and disciplinary procedures.
  • Proven knowledge in reimbursement from the Industrial training fund (ITF)
  • Proficient in MS Office, strong Excel skills, knowledge of HRMS is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to deliver task assigned timely and efficiently.

Salary Range
N350,000 – 400,000 monthly.
