Under the authority of the UFR Project Leader, the SERVICE holder shall be responsible for:
Day to day follow-up in UFR Basic Engineering Contractor Offices of basic engineering studies for flowlines and subsea spools / jumpers
Supervising definition of flow-lines and subsea spools / jumpers requirements (Functional requirements, engineering, fabrication, tests, installation, precommissioning).
Ensuring that engineering is performed in line with Client general specifications and issue proper derogations, if required.
Ensuring that HSE issues are taken into consideration during design.
Supervising preparation of ITT specifications for flow-lines and subsea spools / jumpers detailed engineering/fabrication/installation/precommissioning.
Getting assistance from Client’ Specialists, or third parties, if required, for specific topics.
Supervising preliminary engineering studies for flowlines and subsea spools / jumpers performed by third parties
Participating in definition of interfaces with other Packages (SPS) and informing any discipline impacted by possible changes in flowlines/ subsea spools / jumpers design.
Supervising definition of flowlines field lay-out and lay-out of spools/jumpers around manifolds clusters.
Definition of required qualification tests, in particular regarding insulation matters.
His main activities will be:
Review Pre-project documentation and liaise with Client’ Specialists for selecting codes/standards/specifications to be applied for engineering/fabrication/installation and precommissioning of flowlines and subsea spools / jumpers.
Follow-up of all linepipes basic engineering studies and review of all related reports and documents.
Analysis of UFR Basic Engineering Contractor technical queries and preparation of comments and proposed answers to these queries.
Attend UFR Basic Engineering progress meetings and review MoM.
Participate in Project technical reviews
Graduate degree in a relevant engineering discipline MANDATORY (copy of diploma to be provided).
Between 5 and 10 years experience in rigid pipe-line engineering for deepwater Projects
Knowledge in flow-assurance
Good knowledge of existing tie-in equipment
Practice or knowledge of recent pipe software (sizing, thermal calculations…)
Practice of offshore works
Fluent in English both verbally and in writing
