Job description

MAIN ACTIVITIES :

Verify and validate all CONTRACTOR commissioning preparation documents, including vendor documentation, for his

discipline to ensure conformity with OPERCOM, project technical specifications and safety rules

Check and validate ICAPS database set up, population and verifications by CONTRACTOR for his discipline.

Approve and verify CONTRACTOR commissioning spare parts, special tools, manpower resources, tools, consumables and vendor mobilization management during commissioning execution

Verify and approve package documentation for commissioning, SAT’s and performance test for his discipline

Participate in FAT’s and follow up clearance of subsequent FAT punch lists by CONTRACTOR

Ensure by CONTRACTOR adequate preservation management for equipment on site during consecutive construction and commissioning phases

Manage COMPANY mechanical team during construction and witnessing of CONTRACTOR commissioning activities, responsible for compliance of commissioning procedures by CONTRACTOR

Oversees for his discipline ICAPS database progress, follow up of punch list clearance management and validate all subsystems commissioning dossiers at RFC and RFSU stage

Ensure that commissioning “Mark-up” activities by CONTRACTOR are properly carried out

Manage for his discipline all commissioning reporting to CSL

OTHER ACTIVITIES :

Attend project meetings as required and liaise with other disciplines and vendor personnel for commissioning matters

Provide for his discipline technical advice for Field Operation start up queries

Evaluate performance of CONTRACTOR and COMPANY mechanical team employees and report to CSL

Ensure for his discipline that project HSE objectives are properly integrated in commissioning preparation and strictly abide by during execution of commissioning activities

Promote “a safety first” attitude, develop proactively a safety culture and maintain a high safety awareness and vigilance within his team during execution of commissioning activities

Job requirements

Senior mechanical engineer or equivalent combination of relevant experience and training
Minimum of 15 years experience in Oil & Gas Plant construction, upgrade, commissioning, start up and maintenance
Minimum of 5 years experience as a Team Leader or Supervisory Level with good interpersonal skills
Good English communication skills (verbal and written)
Familiar with commissioning methodology
Able to work with live plant (SIMOPS) and tight schedule (during shutdown) conditions
