Central Bank of Nigeria Recruitment Disclaimer

The attention of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has been drawn to the activities of some fraudulent persons using the social media to misinform the public about a purported general recruitment exercise in the Bank. These dubious elements have also in the process collected money from some unsuspecting applicants under false pretext.

Notice of False Rumour: CBN not conducting any General Recruitment Exercise

For the avoidance of doubt, the CBN is currently not carrying out general recruitment. It also wishes to reiterate that the Bank does not receive money directly or through any representative for the purpose of job recruitment.

The CBN, as a responsible establishment, will not embark on general recruitment exercise without due process, and in accordance with the provisions of extant laws. Whenever the Bank is ready to do this it will be duly publicized through its website: www.cbn.gov.ng and other media available to it, without a fee.

We therefore warn members of the public, particularly anxious applicants, to be wary of fraudsters, as anyone dealing with them would be doing so at his or her own risk.
