Job Title: Senior Business Development Executive (I.T – Startup)
Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Developing and executing comprehensive business development strategies to achieve sales targets and expand market share.
- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities through networking, lead generation, and cold calling.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions.
- Collaborating with internal teams to develop competitive proposals and deliver high-quality services to clients.
- Conducting market research to identify emerging trends, competitor activities, and potential growth areas.
- Managing the sales pipeline, forecasting revenue projections, and reporting on sales performance to senior management.
- Leading negotiations, contract discussions, and closing deals to meet revenue targets.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in an established IT firm or set up.
- Proven track record of success in business development, sales, or account management roles within the IT industry, preferably in a startup environment.
- Strong understanding of software-as-a-service (SaaS) business models, cloud computing, and emerging technologies.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation, creativity, and problem-solving.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market trends, identify growth opportunities, and develop actionable plans to capitalize on them.
- Results-oriented approach with a focus on driving measurable outcomes and exceeding targets.
- Adaptability and resilience to thrive in a rapidly evolving startup environment with ambiguity and uncertainty.
- Strong integrity, ethics, and professionalism in all interactions, internally and externally.
