Composite Construction is a leading Building and Construction Company based in Lagos with interest in Real Estate (residential, commercial, or industrial). We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Accountant / Storekeeper
Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
Accounting Duties:
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Prepare financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
- Good knowledge of bookkeeping.
- Conduct regular financial audits and reconcile discrepancies.
- Manage payroll processing and employee benefits administration.
- Collaborate with external auditors and tax consultants as needed.
Storekeeping Duties:
- Receive, inspect, and record all incoming materials and supplies.
- Manage inventory levels, ensuring that materials are available when needed and minimizing excess stock.
- Maintain a well-organized storage system for easy access and inventory control.
- Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile physical inventory with records.
- Coordinate with project managers to forecast material requirements for upcoming projects.
- Ensure the safe and proper handling of all materials and supplies.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in related field.
- Proven experience as an Accountant and/or Storekeeper, preferably in the property development or construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and inventory management systems.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
