Job Title: Junior Backend Engineer
Location: Lagos
Job Description
- We’re looking for a Backend Engineer to launch and be part of a small team that will work on user friendly solutions for different classes of customers
- We value simple solutions and look for Engineers who use a customer first approach to solving problems.
Responsibilities
- Work with a team of engineers to write scalable and maintainable code.
- Find and address performance issues throughout the application.
- Help identify and fix bugs and issues.
- Propose new methods and approaches to old solutions, helping to improve/develop standards.
- Work and collaborate with both the design and front end development teams to help build new features or update existing ones.
Requirements
- 2+ years of backend development experience
- Strong backend development skills using PHP and Python in a production level environment
- A strong communicator that can contribute to shaping the culture of the dev team
- Proficient with collaborative tools like Git
- Experience with SQL/MYSQL database structures.
- An advocate for robust testing.

Location: Lagos
Job Description
- We’re looking for a Frontend Engineer to launch and be part of a small team that will work of user friendly solutions for different classes of customers. We value simple solutions and look for engineers who use a customer first approach to solving problems.
Responsibilities
- Work with a team of developers to write scalable and maintainable web components in JavaScript, HTML, and SASS.
- Build new UI patterns while also refactoring older ones.
- Assist with documentation of new features, contributing to the documentation of existing ones.
- Find and address performance issues in an application.
- Help identify and fix front-end bugs and issues.
- Propose new methods and approaches to old solutions, helping to improve/develop standards.
- Work and collaborate with both the design and backend development teams to help build new features or update existing ones.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience with JavaScript
- At least 1 year of experience with HTML5, CSS3
- Familiar with build tools, Webpack, preprocessors, and asset pipeline
- Proficient with collaborative tools like Git
- Experience working with a remote team in a collaborative manner.
Bonus Skills:
- Scrum or Agile experience
- Familiarity with UX and page optimizations.
