Job Title: Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Location: Abuja

Job Purpose

  • This position reports to the Managing Director/CEO
  • The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will be responsible for planning, directing and will oversee the company’s operational policies, rules, initiatives, and goals
  • The successful candidate will help the firm to execute its long-term and short-term plans and directives by implementing judgement, vision, management, and leadership
  • S/He will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to execute the company’s vision, put procedures and resources in place to promote scaling, expansion, optimize inefficient areas in the organization and coordinate with other department heads
  • S/He will be the company’s second-in-command and responsible for the efficiency of business
  • S/He will support the CEO in leading and influencing the implementation and achievement of the current and future strategic and operational plans as per the approved Corporate Plan
  • S/He will ensure a strong Risk, Compliance and Governance Framework is embedded across the company
  • The COO will have the mindset to assess and mitigate principal risks and compliance of the firm’s business, together with its growth and profitability and insure that appropriate management and technological systems are in place for delivering the expected services and performance standards
  • S/He will be accountable for developing new business opportunities and sustaining valuable relationships with private and public sector stakeholders to ensure the firm’s continuous expansion and business growth.

Qualifications/Experience

  • Must possess a Degree or Postgraduate qualification in Banking related discipline (Economics, Accounting, Finance & Management). Membership of a recognized professional body is a prerequisite for this position
  • Must possess fifteen (15) years of cognate work experience in banking or Finance industry inclusive of 5-7 years in management position in a commercial or investment bank
  • Must have ability to measures effectiveness and efficiency of operational processes both internally and externally and finds ways to improve processes
  • Must possess exceptional leadership and management skills with a focus on securing strategic partnerships, business planning, people and financial management
  • Must possess strong Credit Risk Management and Lending background and experience
  • Must demonstrate passion and enthusiasm for an organization’s vision, and motivates, leads and empowers others to achieve organizational goals
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with key stakeholders and commercial enterprises to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals
  • Promotes communication between colleagues for the benefit of information flow and to curb any problems that arise
  • Must have integrity, honesty and high sense of responsibility.

Job Title: Marketing Officer
Location: Abuja

Job Description

  • This position will report to the General Manager (GM)

The successful candidate shall be responsible for the following:

  • Marketing of company financial products and services
  • Analysing of customers’ credit request for approval
  • Make key contributions to business planning process to achieving desired performance
  • Liability generation and sourcing for demand deposits
  • Preparation and writing call memos and maintaining good relationship with customers
  • Distribution of monthly or quarterly statements to customers/investors.

Qualifications/Experience

  • A First Degree (B.Sc/HND) in Marketing/Business Administration or related discipline from a recognize institution
  • A minimum of 3 years cognate experience in finance/investment environment
  • Must possess knowledge of competition and market dynamics and business awareness
  • Must possess excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Creativity and strong analytical skills are important to this position.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision and MUST possess a high level of integrity and responsibility.

Job Title: Internal Control Officer
Location: Abuja

Job Description

  • This position reports to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
  • The desired candidate shall be responsible for the development and implementation of approved internal control strategies and work programmes in the company
  • Ensure that the approved operating policy guidelines, procedure and performance standard addresses the company’s operational needs
  • Must monitor the effectiveness of established Business control policies, processes and procedures
  • Communicate identified weaknesses in control to management and Board
  • Develop workable solutions to mitigate such identified weakness.

Qualifications/Experience

  • Must possess a First Degree (B.Sc/HND) in Accounts or any related field plus ACA
  • Must possess minimum four (4) years post NYSC working experience
  • Must possess a broad knowledge of accounting software packages
  • Must possess a good knowledge of business drivers and risk control associated with financial institutions
  • Ability to pay attention to details and maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision and MUST possess a high level of integrity and responsibility.

Job Title: General Manager (GM)
Location: Abuja

Job Purpose

  • This position will report to the Chief Operating Officer
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient daily operations of all banking services, develops new deposit and loan business and provides a superior customer experience
  • S/He will promote a service culture through coaching, guidance and staff motivation
  • The successful candidate will aim to achieve individual goals through new business development, referrals and retention and expansion of account relationships
  • S/He will support the Chief Operating Officer (COO) in taking responsibility for meeting business profitability targets
  • S/He will create a positive working environment that facilitates exceptional service, expanding profitable customer relationships and employee engagement
  • S/He will facilitate regular team meetings focused on sales, service and product training and educate the team about products and services offered through other lines of business.

Qualifications/Experience

  • Must possess a Degree or Postgraduate qualification in Banking related discipline (Economics, Accounting, Finance & Management)

  • Must possess ten (10) years of cognate work experience in Banking or Finance industry, inclusive of 3 years in management position in a Commercial or Investment Bank
  • Must have ability to collaborate with other internal business partners to provide comprehensive solutions to customer’s financial needs
  • Must be able to supervise the accumulation of accurate reporting of financial, performance, and regulatory data and ensure timely delivery
  • Must possess strong Credit Risk Management and Lending background and experience
  • Must support compliance with regulatory guidelines such as Prudential Guidelines, Anti-Money Laundry Act and all relevant CBN circulars
  • Promotes communication between colleagues for the benefit of information flow and to curb any problems that arise
  • Must have integrity, honesty and high sense of responsibility.
