Job Title: Technical Sales Supervisor

Location: South East, Nigeria

Responsibilities

  • Develop new businesses in the region and maintain existing customer relations.
  • Seek customers in company target markets- Maritime, Haulage, Oil & Gas etc, through research and direct contact with potential customers
  • Generate business opportunities through customer contact to meet company’s business plans and growth strategies
  • Drive the sales process from inquiry, coordination through “Closing the Deal”
  • Track and report current status of potential projects, markets, Customer news, and developments
  • Ensure all communication with customers are in accordance with company standards and correct in content and format.
  • Send regular report of activities to line Manager
  • Carrying out the supporting market studies
  • Negotiating and concluding confidentiality agreements, supply contracts for trial and industrial quantities
  • Carried out other related assignments as directed.

Requirements

  • A minimum of HND/BSc. in Science related discipline.
  • MSc or MBA or other certifications will be added advantage.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in business development/marketing, preferably in the chemical industry.
  • Candidate must be based in a strategic state of the region (must reside in Port-Harcourt/Aba).
  • A good working knowledge of the Maritime, Haulage and Oil& Gas sector is required.
  • Must be Self -driven and have the ability to pro-actively maximise available opportunities.
  • Must have a good working knowledge and road network of the region. -Port Harcourt, Aba, Owerri, Onitsha, Enugu etc.
  • Must be able and licensed to drive.
  • Must be results-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment.
  • Must be target driven and be able to achieve set targets.
  • Must have an excellent knowledge of proposal writing and development.
  • Ability to accurately prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
  • Must be of high integrity with a track record of honesty.
  • Ambitious and driven by results, should be ready to take on the challenge of growing and building up a business and a brand.
  • A strong strategic thinker and team leader.
