Today, GE seeks the services of a Systems Engineerto be based in Ikoyi Nigeria

Job Role:

The key role of this position is to provide a high level of technical expertise and system knowledge to business partners to ensure they are fully informed about the range of products and technology GE Security has to offer.

Essential Responsibilities

Develop and support a network of strategic Business Partners through providing partners with technical information and knowledge about GE Security products & solutions. Assisting partners in tendering (technical design, BOM, BOQ, quotation). Assisting partners in the design of Security systems. Supporting partners with products presentation and demonstrations to End Customers. Participate in technical training sessions
Participate in business development
Educate the market about GE Security solutions through road shows, seminars and exhibitions. Create value through having deep vertical knowledge and being a GE Security Systems expert. Provide technical support in sales presentations and create demand with design offices, specifiers & consultants through keeping them up to date on all offerings.
Manage strategic projects from prospecting up to the signature
Conduct SWOT analysis for strategic projects. Develop solution architecture and design, and develop cutting-edge proposals to promote sales. Determine the Order Winners and the Qualifying Factors for each project in cooperation with the Sales Manager and the Business Partner.
Contribute to business intelligence
Gather information about market trends, new customers demand and competitors offering. Understand partner’s strategic positioning (Technical capabilities, Customer base). Provide feedback to Marketing on programs and products (be part of the New Product Introduction process)

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or information technology from a reputable university. 3-5 years experience in technology environment with outstanding project management capacity. A solid knowledge of CCTV, Digital Video, Access Control or Protection Fire systems. Customer centric mind set with in-depth knowledge of working and building relationships in a complex, matrix and geographically dispersed organisation. Mature self-starter, able to quickly obtain high level understanding of dynamics within new markets and identifying top areas for focus.
Outstanding communication, presentation, organisational and time management skills. Should have a proven track record of successfully driving ideas from conception through to defining, action planning and execution.
Strong problem solving skills, team player and a high degree of creativity/resourcefulness.
Leadership skills, passion, determination, with a high energy level.
Working Knowledge of MS Office based products.
Working knowledge of CRM systems for pipeline and opportunity management

Desired Characteristics:

MBA/MSc an added advantage.
PMP Certification an added advantage.
