Job Purpose/Scope
Develop and deliver the consumer and customer segment strategies and facilitate the formulation of the marketing strategy in GSK Pharmaceuticals AWA by integrating strategic, operational brand and trade planning. Ensure the marketing insights and information platform (processes and systems) is fit-for-purpose to support informed decision making

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with Marketing Excellence Director to drive the tactical execution of Rx AWA business plan is integrated across all functions and aligned with the defined business strategy
  • Implement plans to ensure line of sight from consumer segment strategies through to Marketing and Sales activities
  • Implement a comprehensive, integrated and effective Cycle Grid for Rx AWA
  • Information systems effectively support the planning process
  • Ensure development and refinement of actionable and meaningful customer and consumer segments (trade clusters), for the area
  • Recommend priority segments, objectives and approach
  • Contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of the supply chain process
  • Ensure that all key performance indicators are clearly defined, objectively analysed and reported on in quantifiable business terms across the marketing organisation
  • Implement the integrated long-term macro-economical forecasts for the total tobacco market, short-term forecasts and competitive business scenarios as input to corporate and marketing plans
  • Maintain highest organisational capability of consumer, customer and market insight
  • Ensure implementation of all marketing research & information common platforms and best practices
  • Implement and maintain comprehensive competitive analysis
  • Participate in the definition of regulatory and excise strategy and consumer pricing guidelines, providing market context and consumer requirements, and developing strategic scenarios (e.g., price war)
  • Generate innovative ideas on how to approach customer and consumer segments
  • Drive the development of new research methodologies and analytical techniques

Qualifications, Experience

  • Ideally, not less than 8 years’ Management experience in an FMCG Industy
  • Preference for both Marketing and Sales experience
  • Marketing and Sales strategy development
  • Oracle methodologies/ MR&I common platforms and best practices
