Job Title: Head, Technology

Job Description: Head, Technology is accountable for directing the information and data integrity of the group and for all Information Technology functions of the enterprise.  This includes the data centre, database management, help desks, communication networks (voice and data), computer program development, and computer systems operations.

This role ensures that all Line of Business (LOB) and supporting applications runs smoothly.

He/She interacts with the executive management team to provide strategic direction for the IT department.

This position is responsible for providing overall leadership for the IT organization, including the day to day administration of the IT department.

Job Requirements: B.Sc. computer science, engineering, maths or related subjects or equivalent, minimum of 2.2, with at least 5 years’ experience that cut across at least two functional areas of IT department such as infrastructure and applications management/support.

Knowledge of following technologies is essential:

1.  Microsoft Windows Server 2008 or higher and Windows desktops OS
2. Microsoft exchange management 2007 or later version

iii.  Deep knowledge of any of the following RDBMS – Oracle, SQL Server or MySQL

1. Deep knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle

1. Deep understanding of software development with the use of various frameworks such as MVC, JSF

1. Deep knowledge of any of the following RDBMS – Oracle, SQL Server or MySQL

vii. Hands-on knowledge of .Net and Java or PHP

viii. Ability to develop mobile applications is key requirement for this position.

Knowledge of any of following technologies is desirable:

1. Linux OS
2. Any flavor of Unix OS

iii.  Microsoft Dynamics NAV

Qualification in at least three (3) of the following certifications are essential:

1. ITIL
2. Prince2 or PMP

iii. Java, PHP or .Net development platforms

1. Deep knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle

Certification in any two of the following is desirable:

1. CISSP
2. MCP/MCSE

iii.  CCNA, CCNP

1. OCA, OCP
2. Java Certification

Knowledge of any of following technologies is desirable:

1. ITIL
2. PRINCE2

• PMP
