Seven Up Nigeria is currently recruiting for a Human Resource Manager. This position reports directly to Executive Director, Human Resource

Job Summary

Organize and coordinate activities aimed at attracting, retaining and maintaining the human capital of the organisation and as custodian of company policies, ensures adequate implementation at the region.

Employee & Community Relations:

Promote industrial harmony through regular communication and meetings with workers representatives at the region.
Maintain cordial relationship with host communities in such a manner that guarantees social responsiveness of the region.
Coordinate and organize zonal staff conference, long service award ceremony, end of year party, etc.
Staff Welfare, Benefit & Compensation:
Liaise with the Pension & Benefit Manager in operating staff pension in line with existing Pension Act.
Prepare and process timely and error free monthly staff payroll at the region.
Manage and monitor implementation of HMO scheme at the region.
Manage staff library, prepare staff free monthly sampling, staff uniform & safety wears, oversee the clinic, canteen and recreational facilities.
Monitor overtime trend in the region.
Human Resource Management & Administration:

Handle junior staff recruitment at the region as approved by management.
Prepare all staff claims, allowances and payments in line with company’s policy.
Ensure adherence to company’s rules and regulations and working out acceptable and objective criteria for recognizing excellence in productivity and conduct as well as meting out appropriate disciplinary measures against erring staff in line with company’s policy.
Manage performance management process in the region.
Implement, monitor and maintain approved manning level at the region.
Manage regional decisions on intra-regional staff (junior) movement and monitor associated costs.
Liaise with Manpower Development Manager in identifying and coordinating training activities at the region.
Monitor activities of cleaning contractor at the region.
Liaise with External and Regulatory Agents such as:
Federal Ministry of Labour & Productivity
Legal Retainership and Management of court cases
Ministry of Health, etc on human resource matters
Monitor staff attendance (take full advantage of Biometrics system)

Key Performance Objectives & Incentives

Objective: To ensure industrial peace and maintain strongly motivated workforce at the regions.

Indicators:

Number of strikes and lock outs in the region.
Timeliness of reports to HQ.
Level of staff morale and motivation.
Labour turnover.
HR cost versus budget.
Number of sanctions from regulatory bodies.

Job Specifications

Minimum Education

B.Sc. in Social Science or Humanities
MBA will be an a added advantage
Minimum Experiences: 8 years working experience at the head of the Personnel Admin and Industrial Relations Department of a multinational, preferably in the FMCG sector.
