Imo State Government has recently embarked on a socio-economic agenda towards revitalizing the economy and restoring infrastructure in the State.

The initiative focuses on transforming the state into a model with emphasis on industrialization and enterprise, youth empowerment, provision of social infrastructure, respect for rule of law and order, tackling environmental issues and resuscitating key institutions.

To help drive these initiatives and achieve the stated goals, the State Government is seeking to recruit competent, dynamic and committed individuals to fill various entry level positions (grade level 07 to 10) in the State’s Public Service through a highly merit-driven process. Information regarding available jobs, cadres/grade levels and their entry level requirements can be accessed by clicking the job information box icon on the right hand side of the job portal.

Candidates with the following qualifications are therefore eligible to apply

A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree, Higher National Diploma (HND), or National Certificate of Education (NCE) in any discipline from any recognized higher institution.
Candidates must have completed the one year mandatory NYSC program or have evidence of exemption from the program
Candidates must be indigenes of Imo State

INSTRUCTIONS

Before you start the online job application process to complete the form, please read the following instructions carefully and ensure that you have the necessary information and materials required for the application

This Job Application Process is open exclusively to Imo State indigenes.
Ensure that you have your correct Bio-data information, Education and Training Information, Ward/Community of Origin, Local Government of Origin, Traditional Ruler’s Name, NYSC date of completion and Discharge Certificate Number or Exemption Certificate Number before commencing the application.
Ensure that you have an electronic (scanned / captured) copy of your Most Recent Passport Photograph before you start your application.

You are advised to test the validity of your passport photograph before uploading it. Your passport photograph must be of size 120px by 140px. You can resize your passport online from this site. Please select 150 X 112 (thumbnail) from the resize option or download the resize software here
To start fresh application, gently scratch off the silver panel on your scratch card to reveal the PIN. Furthermore, locate the Serial Number on the card and enter both Serial Number and PIN to the boxes provided on the fresh application login. A successful validation of login parameters will redirect you to the application start page.
Applicants are issued Reference Number on successful completion of the stage “1″ of the application stages. Applicants can return to the portal as “Returning Applicant” by simply providing the Reference Number alongside the PIN.
Applicants are advised to keep good record of the Reference Number and the PIN because these are the only two parameters required for subsequent logins to the portal.
It is important to print out the acknowledgment slip at the completion of the application process. Acknowledgment slip shall be required for accreditation at the test center.
Applicants are advised to select Examination location closest to their city of residence for easy access to the test centres. Test Centres are Owerri, Orlu, Okigwe, Lagos or Abuja
Applicants can check their “Application Status” and “Test Results” by login in as a “Returning Applicant”. The test results will be available two weeks after writing the general apitutde test. List of successful applicants will be published on 26th May, 2010
