MEDICAL LABORATORY SCIENTIST/PMTCT OFFICER [ to be based in Calabar Nigeria}

Job Requirements:
Competitive Applicants must:

  • Hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Laboratory Science; possess a current Clinical Laboratory Scientist license registration with the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria;
  • Have 3-5 years post-NYSC experience as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist and 1-3 years experience in clinical laboratory work and sound understanding of HIV/AIDS and conduct of GD4 count test;
  • Have experience with quality assurance procedures.
  • Have experience in ordering laboratory supplies;
  • Be conversant with the ethics of HIV testing;-Have competence in the use of all types of HIV test equipment and test kits; Be a committed and fervently God-fearing person of proven integrity, honesty and accountability;
  • Familiarity with Nigerian public health sector/health system and NGOs/CBOs, PMTCT and donor funded program will be an advantage.
  • A Socio-cultural background similar to the project location is an added advantage.
