Job Title: Associate Consultant – Accounting and Tax
Location: Abuja (FCT)

Requirements:

• Preparation of financial statements in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Prepare high-quality reports as client engagement deliverables.
• Provide accounting advice and support to internal teams on tax engagements.
• Maintain strong relationships with new and established clients.
• Prepare tax returns, payments, necessary paperwork, and reports.
• Assess and research difficult tax issues to identify solutions.
• Manage and maintain the company’s tax database.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations by forwarding required the necessary information to authorities.
• Evaluate tax regulations and suggest policies that diminish the tax burden.
• Keep track of industry trends and changes relating to taxes. Prepare accurate quarterly and annual tax reports.

Qualifications and Experience:

• B.Sc / HND Accounting.
• Minimum of 2 years post-graduation/qualification experience preferably in a consulting firm
• ACA/ACCA /ACIT qualification is a plus
• Self-starter with minimal need for supervision
• Robust working knowledge of Nigeria’s Tax laws is important
• Familiarization with IASs/IFRSs very important
• Good team player
• Relevant IT skills (working with Accounting Software and Microsoft packages)
• The candidate must be male and based in Abuja.
