Marie Stopes International Organisation Nigeria (MSION) is a results-orientated non-Governmental organisation, which uses modern management and marketing techniques to provide family planning and other reproductive healthcare clinical services in underserved communities. MSION’s goal is to dramatically improve access to family planning and related reproductive health services to reduce maternal mortality and ultimately poverty in Nigeria.

MSION is part of Marie Stopes International’s Global Partnership which operates in 43 countries and is the largest non-Governmental provider of family planning in the world.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Management Accountant
Location:
Abuja
Reporting to: Finance Director
Duration of contract: 2 years (Renewable)

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit monthly Management report of MSION
  • Ensure sound financial controls in all MSION service delivery Channels
  • Contribute to monthly management and periodic statutory accounts as well as reports
  • Provide in-depth analysis of monthly report that help FD in decision making
  • Focal point of any queries come on monthly report form management and London office
  • Responsible to complete the monthly reporting pack and submit to HQ on timely basis.
  • Monthly reconciliation of intercompany accounts with London office and other country programs.
  • Monitor the social marketing credit limits and advice FD about changes in credit limits
  • Prepare Budget for Management approval and upload same in SUN within the deadline stipulated by MSION.
  • Ensure a proper Transaction Filing System is maintained for all financial activities
  • Regularly discuss with FD and team members concerning management reporting issues, errors, trends, payment delays, outstanding commitments and related matters.
  • Undertake all areas of responsibility in a professional manner and in a way that enhances the reputation of MSION
  • Provide support during project audits and statutory audit
  • Filed visit to regional office on periodic basis to provide support the field finance officer and ensure filed financial management is transparent and all internal controls are in place.
  • Advice FD in upgradation of financial procedures and policies as and when required on timely basis.
  • Work as member of procurement committee and ensure all procurement is being done as per organization policies and procedure
  • Coordinate closely with procurement and logistic team to get monthly stock report on timely basis and verify stock report with service data before entering in SUN system.
  • Supervise the payroll system and ensure the payroll cost is being allocated properly to each project and channels with consultation of projects heads and HR department.
  • Ensure the correct coding with close coordination of finance manager and project heads. Review the transactions in SUN regular basis for correct charging and allocation to relevant codes.
  • Monitor the staff debt regularly and ensure advances must retire on timely basis.
  • Any other duties requested by the Finance Director or other Senior Management Team members. The JD’s can be adjusted according to need of the department and organization as per changes in departmental structure

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • A degree with minimum of 2nd class Upper division, and recognised professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, etc
  • 5-7 years’ experience in a similar role with an NGO/INGO
  • Working knowledge of different donors USAID, ECHO DFID etc.
  • Ability to use SUN Accounting package and other accounting packages
  • Advance excel skills preferred
  • Ability to multitask, manage a workload and produce high quality, on-time work
  • Good team player and flexible while working with other colleagues

Job Title: Grants Account Officer
Location:
Abuja
Reporting to: Grants Accountant
Duration of contract: 2 years (Renewable)

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitoring of Project Budgets vs Actual Expenses and sharing outcome with the Project Managers on a monthly basis.
  • Preparing and submitting timely Donor Financial Reports as required by donors and follow up for the approval of the reports.
  • Posting of project financial transactions to SUN as the transactions occur.
  • Ensuring that financial transactions comply with donor requirements.
  • Provide support to Project Managers in managing Regional Office budgets.
  • Ensure accurate and timely quarterly project projection.
  • Ensure proper use of account, centre and projects codes
  • Any other duty as may be assigned by the management team.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • A degree with minimum of 2nd Class Upper Division in Accounting, and recognised professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, etc
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role. NGO experience will be an advantage
  • Ability to use SUN Accounting package
  • Ability to use Microsoft excel
  • Ability to multitask, manage a workload and produce high quality, on-time work.

Job Title: Client Service Executive

Probationary period: 6 months

Job Description

  • The Client Service Executive will be responsible for assisting in providing client centred clinical service in the Marie Stopes Clinic.

Responsibilities

  • Encourage a commitment to accommodating clients’ special needs such as flexibility of working hours.
  • Maintain strict privacy and confidentiality to generate demand for MSION services.
  • Have a public relations and promotional role with colleagues, MoH and the general public
  • Timely collate and submit centre report to the centre team
  • Monitor monthly client numbers and income generated and in collaboration with the centre team make appropriate recommendations to meet income to cost targets.
  • Man and manage the front desk at the centre to promote and maintain a welcoming, friendly, professional and efficient atmosphere for all clients in the centre to ensure client satisfaction at all times.
  • Assist to provide counselling on core MSION Clinical services at the centre.
  • Receive, receipt and bank all service income in the centre on daily basis.
  • Assist with all administrative and financial responsibilities (record keeping and petty cash management) in the centre.
  • Manage and document client complaints professionally
  • Adequate inventory and stock management knowledge and experience
  • Keep record in the centre using the approved formats to ensure tidy medical records and registers
  • Keep the Centre and its surroundings tidy, neat and clean at all times
  • Make proper use of available information systems in MSI to facilitate service delivery & trainings
  • Assist with client statistics and data relating to clinical issues for analysis.
  • Take record of all referrals from the referral networks
  • Lead all online client booking and follow up
  • Collate and update all client data including phone numbers, contact addresses and email addresses.
  • Support documentation of case studies
  • Ensure all information materials are regularly available on display in the clinic and given to all clients that comes into the clinic.
  • Carry out any other lawful duties assigned by the Centre Manager.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Must have at least GCE O’level /SSCE certificate or Higher.

Job Title: Infection Prevention Assistant
Location:

Reporting to: Centre Coordinator
Duration of contract: 2 years
Probation Period: 6 months

Responsibilities
Your responsibilities as an Infection Prevention Assistant shall include;

  • Keeping the entire office, its surroundings, client care areas and all used medical equipment tidy, neat and clean at all time
  • Encourage a commitment to accommodating clients’ special needs such as flexibility on working hours, strict privacy and confidentiality to generate demand for MSION services.
  • Ensure proper management and disposal of both general and medical waste.
  • Assist the clinical team in providing approved services trained on infection prevention
  • Assist with maintaining medical stock/a drug inventory and ordering register
  • Ensure all clinical Instruments are washed, sterilised and stored properly
  • Ensure all the drapes are properly washed and stored
  • Run errands including banking of daily income for the teams when appropriate
  • Promote and maintain a welcoming, friendly, professional and efficient atmosphere towards all clients at all times
  • Carry out any other lawful duties assigned by the outreach Team Leader.
  • Assist with administrative work within limits when necessary

Qualifications

  • Must have at least Basic Education to be able to read and write English.
  • Organisation, initiative, tidiness and courtesy.
