Job Title: Network Security Planning Engineer (Supervisory)
Location: Lagos

Job Description

• To plan and implement a highly effective and cost efficient, end-to-end network security framework within the MTNN voice and customer data networks.
• Work with stakeholders and the project team to develop cost effective and value adding solutions on each project.
• Define, establish and document ip security guidelines, procedures and policies, and implement network security best practices
• Define firewall, access lists administration policies
• Develop test protocol for new applications to prevent compromising security
• Direct the development and enforcement of information security and privacy policies in compliance with MTNNN and telecommunication regulations and standards
• Help to establish and document it security guidelines, procedures and policies, and implement network security best practices
• Identify and document ip customer security requirements
• Assist in planning and designing of secure networks
• Establish network security schemes, naming conventions, and application security
• Assist in the planning and designing of routed wan and switched lan networks
• Providing redundant and load balance solutions
• Update network security diagrams and topologies.
• Design, installs, configures, manages, and maintains mission critical enterprise firewalls, IPS, VPN and other technical controls.
• Implement and maintain a suite of security metrics to enable the effectiveness of the security strategy and operation to be measured and related security issues to be understood and managed
• Implement network access control across different network segment on the IP/MPLs network
• Ensure security and preventative measures for unauthorized access.
• Escalate network related fault and network clearance rate.
• Ensure quality roll-out of new data/services working with marketing and ip system planning.
• Perform new node implementation and cut over.
• Provide emergency maintenance on IP/MPLs network with security skills high level trouble shooting.
• Achieve planned works completion rate.
• Enforce security policies, in-line with ciso mandate
• Research, recommend, and implement new security solutions, products and controls
• Understand the capabilities and limitations of enabling technologies
• Evaluate and trial new security-solutions and technologies before deployment
• Create technology inputs towards business cases and development plans, specifically related to network security technologies
• Project planning, management, control and reporting
• Assist in selecting suitable technology vendor in terms of technical compliance, in line with departmental rules and regulations and in collaboration with procurement
• Research on an ongoing basis new technology trends in order to map internal MTN customer’s needs to enabling technologies
• Develop policies for customer authentication
• Scrutinize customer design and determine impact on the MTN network in terms of security / assist customer in designing a secure solution for interaction between customer system and MTN network
• Resolve any internal/external stakeholders queries when need arises

Job Title: Officer, Logistics Operations (Supervisory)
Locations: Enugu/Port-Harcourt
Employment status: permanent

Job Description

• To support the logistics processes which covers storage and transportation of requirements for trading stock and fixed assets.
• Also responsible for planning & management of deliveries, management of inventory returned from site/customers including receipt, repair / replacement by supplier or declared as scrap and disposal.
• Create/ maintain charge lines (refers to financial costs associated with shipping routes) and validate critical information has been included
• Manage landed costs
• Update carrier rates and setup related carrier configuration in oracle
• Responsible for arranging / obtaining the customs clearance documents and verifying the accuracy & completeness against stipulated requirements
• Prepare import customs documents as per the statutory guidelines
• Assign shipment to the supplier as per the approved supplier list (asl) and track status for reporting
• Receive advance shipping notice (asn) from supplier and update the oracle
• Schedule receipt based on the ASN received and arrange for logistics
• Update/ maintain shipment line groups and expected shipment lines (lines refer to shipping routes). Verify that required fields have been updated
• Participate and provide inputs in ad-hoc meetings
• Execute day-to-day operations
• Resolve operational issues
• Escalate issues and requests as required
• Arrange deliveries for the orders in case of parcel shipment and full truck load (FTl) / less than truck load (LTL)
• Ship/ deliver orders for service order or preventive/ scheduled maintenance

Job Title: Engineer, Transmission Edge Services (Supervisory)

• To integrate, operate and maintain multiplex equipment for Network Transmission and rollout

• Design and develop best fit architecture & routing topology for access/metro/edge network infrastructures and for converged data & communications services and their successful integration into the IP/MPLS backbone.

• Develop ip addressing, naming and numbering formats as well as quality of service parameters for the customer edge LANS and all other data access networks, nodes and elements.
• Produce and integrate ip routing solutions for the extension of network management capability to microwave transmission sites in the metro and national tx backbone networks.
• Plan and implement wan access slas, quality and class of service requirements in alignment with the capabilities of the network and ensure achievement of customer satisfaction on the total connectivity/transport solution.
• Conduct weekly and monthly network performance monitoring, trend analyses, capacity planning and expansion/optimization in line with traffic growth and customer demands.

Requirements, Experience & Training
Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree In Electrical / Electronic / Computer Engineering Or Physical Sciences

Experience:

• 3-7 Years’ Experience Which Include
• Experience In ICT & Telecoms Systems Integration, Preferably In A Large Service Provider Network.
• Experience With Network Performance Monitoring And Reporting.
• Experience With 3G, HSDPA, GSM, TDMA, CDMA Networks Will Be An Added Advantage
• Cisco Qualification – CCNP/DP Level Or CCNA With Extensive Systems Integration And Network Design Experience.
• Understanding Of Metro-Transmission Technologies, E.G. LRE, XDSL, PDH/SDH.
• Working Knowledge Of IP/MPLS, QOS & Networking Protocols Such As ISDN, H.232, SIP, VOIP & C7 (SS7).
• Good Working Knowledge Of Advanced Routing Mechanisms & Protocols (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS Etc).
