Job Title: Profit Manager
Location: Abuja
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description:

  • The profit Manager works to improve the organization’s market position and achieve financial growth, defines long-term organizational strategic goals, builds key customer relationships, identifies business opportunities, negotiates and closes business deals, and maintains extensive knowledge of current market conditions.
  • Prospect for new clients by networking, cold calling, advertising, or other means of generating interest from potential clients. must plan persuasive approaches and pitches that will convince potential clients to do business with the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop new sales areas and improve sales through various methods.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure requirements are met, such as sales numbers and profit goals.
  • Strong understanding of company products or services as well as business position and competition to keep business competitive.
  • Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives.
  • Researching organizations and individuals to find new opportunities.
  • Increasing the value of current customers while attracting new ones.
  • Finding and developing new markets and improving sales.
  • Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events.
  • Developing quotes and proposals for clients.
  • Maintain current client relationships and identify areas for potential clients.
  • Contacting potential clients to establish a business relationship and meet with them.
  • Developing goals for the development team and business growth and ensuring they are met.

Client Retention:

  • Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships.
  • Work with other internal colleagues to meet customer needs.
  • Submit weekly progress reports and ensure data is accurate.
  • Forecast sales revenue and profitability targets and ensure they are met.
  • Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet these targets.
  • Work with staff to ensure that prerequisites (like prequalification or getting on a vendor list) are fulfilled in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all team members represent the company in the best light.
  • Research and develop a thorough understanding of the company’s people and capabilities.
  • Understand the company’s goal and purpose

Skills & Competencies Required:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent;
  • 3 years of business-to-business (B2B) and experience working with a diverse team;
  • Passionate for tech and innovation and loves the startup culture.
