MIFE CONSTRUCTION provides a broad range of engineering services building bridges, and civil works on oil drilling facilities. Mife Construction is a multi-disciplinary construction engineering contractor with a number of heavy civil and structural engineering projects throughout Nigeria.

Mife Construction is now recruiting for a PROJECT COORDINATOR who should be responsible in overseeing and supervising a team of engineers to achieve a desired corporate objective. This role will involve leading project teams, as well as management of expatriates and other engineers and surveyors. This is to be based in Portharcourt Rivers State

Responsibilities:

  • Contract management competence
  • Construction Project planning
  • Construction Project management
  • Liaise with other departments when reporting work progress
  • Manage CASHES and HSE contract compliance
  • Management of clients
  • Reporting the above to the Managing Director/General Manager

Required Qualifications

  • HND or BSC in Civil engineering with practical working experience in the construction of oil drilling locations for major oil companies in Nigeria or Abroad
  • Not less than 40 years of age
  • Not less than 10 years practical working experience
  • Must have worked in similar capacity in a top rate construction company in Nigeria or abroad
  • Must be familiar with Microsoft Projects, Microsoft excel, AUTOCAD & possibly primavera software for preparing work programmes, monitoring, evaluating and reporting of same for construction projects
  • Must be familiar with Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) of major oil companies
  • Ability to assume responsibility and to interface and communicate effectively within the project management team and also other service departments in the company
  • COREN certified is essential or any other professional qualification would be an added advantage
