PtP Payment Manager

Purpose:
Ensure that GNPLC with the implementation of SAP/SBM

Job Description:

  • Develop strategies for effective management and resolution of issues/ challenges on invoicing and payment.
  • Ensure effective query management by developing lesson learnt and actions plans for service improvement based on queries logged.
  • Implement the customer’s service initiative and cultural change on the wow in handling vendor’s issues.
  • Implement and monitor the SLA agreed between Diageo and Accenture on the services of the SSC.
  • Manage the PtP help desk for effective queries resolution.
  • Lead the management of use of urgent and down pay request in –market operates and achieves world class and efficient service from SSC.

Hence PtP Department needs to provide the business a competitive edge by delivering clear & tangible benefits through right payment.
  • There is a commitment to world-class performance as an underlining best practice in Guinness Nigeria Plc; therefore the PtP Department should continuously improve PtP processes to sustain the performance.

Dimension:

a)    Financial

  • The PtP Payment Executive shall be responsible for improving the customer satisfaction index and management of vendors across all sites in Nigeria and offshore.
  • Responsible to resolve queries and manage all vendors issues with total payment of over N20billion annually.
  • Create urgent pay request and lead the on the decision for creation of down pay request.

b)   Market Complexity:

Relationships

·        Will be in contact with ALL employees in Guinness Nigeria Plc and Diageo employees.

·        Will be in contact with vendors/Transporters (must therefore be of high integrity and maturity).

·        Will work with Accenture staff in SSC and must understand and appreciate their procedures and systems.

Decision Making
·        The SSC Service Level Agreement will be a source of knowledge and negotiating tool in the work of the PtP CSM.

·        Drives the achievement of agreed SLA and PtP metrics in-market.

·        Leads the decision on the creation of urgent pay request.

Accountabilities:

·        Manage the relationship between Guinness and the SSC; attend regular service review meetings to review and discuss KPIs and improvement action plans.

·        Implement value driven improvements to the Client Relationship Management process.

·        Monitor & manage the invoicing team process – ensuring all operations are within the agreed KPIs.

Qualifications and Experience Required:
·        Minimum: -University Degree Level education with relevant experience and or with accounting qualification such as ICAN.

·        University degree any field. MBA will be an added advantage

·        Minimum of 5 Years post qualification experience.

Experience:
·        Customer Care/ Service experience.

·        Working experience in a reputable Accounting or Consultancy environment.

·        Process driven environment or background.
