Job Title: Graphics Designer
Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description:
Design:

• Use computer software to create electronic versions of designs.
• To deliver creative design solutions across multiple platforms from conception to completion
• Determine size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, and select style and size of type.
• Create designs, concepts, and sample layouts based on knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts
• Is responsible for creating design solutions that have a high visual impact

Business Development Support:

• Working on in-house creative briefs to support the business development marketing and production team.
• Will work to an agreed brief with customers and develop creative ideas and concepts, choosing the appropriate media and style to meet the company’s objectives.
• Interpreting the client’s business needs and developing a concept to suit their purpose
• Estimating the time required to complete the work and providing quotes for clients

Stakeholder Management:

• Liaise with suppliers and printers to manage all aspects of production, ensuring quality and designs conform to brand guidelines
• Complete projects by coordinating with outside agencies, art services and printers.

Quality Control:

• Review final layouts, products and suggest improvements as needed.
• Ensure operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment.

Industry and Technological Awareness:

• Keeping abreast of emerging technologies in new media, particularly design programsand be able to identify areas of use in the organization.
• Maintain technical knowledge by attending design workshops; reviewing professional publications; participating in professional societies.

Innovation:

• Using innovation to redefine a design brief within the constraints of cost and time
• Developing design briefs by gathering information and data through research
• Thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts.

Requirements:

• A Degree from a recognised university.
• 2 years minimum experience.
• Ability to create 3D designs and use corel draw.
• Creating ATM designs and brand logos is an added advantage.
