Job Title: Credit Collections Tele Agent
Location: Ikoyi, Lagos
Job Type: Full Time

About the Job

  • We are currently seeking passionate individuals with a flair for Credit & Collections to join our team in Lagos, Nigeria as Credit & Collections Tele Agent. The key mission of this job is to develop individuals who will grow into championship players in the future, to also keep our portfolio healthy and as well maximize the revenue streams of our product offerings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Decide regularly which loans may be terminated and supervise the termination process
  • Look after insolvent borrowers in the context of e.g. administration, liquidation, debt management plan as well as bankruptcy
  • Enhancing the collection process and working with the internal team and external collection agencies, integration with Customer Support unit
  • Ensuring the collection process is operated effectively
  • Gathering and analyzing business requirements from Credit Collection stakeholders
  • Introducing collections initiatives to test new ideas aiming at lowering defaults, by leveraging on data and technology
  • Preparation of reports, providing insights based on data analysis and identification of patterns
  • Regularly review the communication in use in order to achieve efficiency and effectiveness

Your Profile

  • Young, smart and hungry for achieving extraordinary results
  • Minimum of 1-year experience in a credit and collections role within a financial company, e-commerce company or similar (online) businesses is preferred
  • Ability to adapt to new challenges in a dynamic and fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

Key Responsibilities

  • Focus of retail-based customer acquisition
  • Establish an excellent working relationship with major POS Vendors (Unified Payments, Interswitch & Global Accelerex)
  • Initiate the Credit Assessment process and ensure disbursement is done within agreed timelines
  • Collaborating with internal team members (Underwriting, Collections and Customer service) to continuously improve the process
  • Take initiative and improve or develop new lending products
  • Take ownership of the administrative, sales and marketing functions of the role
  • Drive revenue and profit to achieve the Company’s ambitious growth
  • Plan and coordinate the implementation of business plans and the penetration of new markets

Do you have what it takes?

  • Completed a University Degree in Business Administration/Economics, Engineering, Marketing, Finance, Operations or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years in a business development role within a financial company, e-commerce company or similar online business
  • Proven track record of personal, academic and professional achievements
  • High degree of comfort with analytics, numbers and the capability to draw decisions based on both data and intuition.
  • Ability to work in an independent, structured and goal-oriented manner
  • Ability to adapt to new challenges in a dynamic and fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects
  • Ability to prioritize deliverables and meet demanding deadlines
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint a must
  • Previous experience with SME lending or other financial products is a plus
