We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Accounts Payable Manager

Job Description

  • The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for processing vendor payments. He/She will ensure all invoices are tracked, collated, recorded, and presented for payment in a timely manner.

Essential Job Functions

  • Ensure all invoices are verified and approve them for payment.
  • Develops, implements and maintains systems, procedures and policies, including accounts payable functions to ensure adherence to company guidelines and timely payments.
  • Manages Accounts Payables (AP) to ensure vendor ledgers are accurate and up to date i.e. invoices and payments are tracked, collated and posted and reconciliations are carried out to ensure integrity of the accounting system
  • Responds to Vendor Enquiries and provides information to vendors where required
  • Manages monthly closing of financial records and posting of month end information; ensures accuracy of financial statements.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business is an added advantage
  • Professional Accounting qualification such as ICAN

Technical Requirements:

  • Proficient in the use of accounting software and/or ERP system
  • Deep understanding and experience Microsoft office tools (EXCEL)

 

Job Title: Treasury Officer

Job Description

  • Vetting vendor invoices for supplies in order to ascertain actual value of supplies made
  • Reviewing invoices already vetted by the Audit unit for correctness
  • Tracking invoices against agreed payment terms
  • Process supplier invoices or invoices for services rendered for payment
  • Reconciliation of suppliers accounts and sending of statement to suppliers where required
  • Ensuring proper documentation of transactions including filing of invoices
  • Working with other functional units to meet company’s set targets
  • Reconciling petty cash
  • Assume the management and timely update of key data into the system

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Economics/Banking and Finance or related field from a reputable institution
  • Professional Accounting qualification such as ICAN
  • Proficient in the use of accounting software and/or ERP system
  • Deep understanding and experience with Microsoft office tools (Excel)

 

Job Title: Retail Buyer
Locations:
 Rivers and Benin
Job Type: Full Time

Job Description

  • Analysing consumer buying patterns and predicting future trends and reacting to changes in demand and logistics
  • Managing plans for stock levels as well as purchasing budgets
  • Participates in floor planning and stock count exercises
  • Ensure merchandise are ordered or replenished in good time to achieve 100% availability of listed merchandise.
  • Sourcing, selecting and negotiating terms of contracts with suppliers towards maximizing sales and profits
  • Creates end-to-end sales plan, display plans and ad plans customized for each Category
  • Maintaining relationships with existing suppliers and sourcing new suppliers for future products and promotions
  • Presenting new ranges to management for consideration
  • Liaising with department managers to ensure supply meets demand
  • Working with branch and department managers to meet sales and profit targets and goals for repective branches

Education & Training Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business Administration or relevant field MBA will be an added advantage.

Experience:

  • Minimum of five years post qualification experience in grocery food and non-food category buying in a world-class supermarket chain
