Job Title: Team Member, Voice, Video, Contact Center & Wireless Services
Location: Lagos, Nigeria
Job Type: Permanent

Job Objective(s):

  • Ensure the stability and integrity of in-house wireless network services, Video and Voice services.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement short- and long-term strategic plans to ensure WLAN and LAN infrastructure capacity meets existing and future business requirements.
  • Support, setup, and configure switching, wireless networks, routing, and security, and multi-server environments.
  • Configuring and installing client and server network software for upgrading and maintaining LAN and LAN network and telecommunication systems.
  • Managing assigned projects and program components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives.
  • Responding to inquiries from staff, administrators, service providers, site personnel and outside vendors and etc. to provide technical assistance and support.
  • Troubleshooting malfunctions of network hardware and software applications, telephones and security systems to resolve operational issues and restore services.
  • Responsible for updating/maintenance of business security and auditing requirements.
  • Prepare reports and other documentation for Network Services Support and associated efforts.
  • Implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated reports.
  • Monitor and analyze network performance across the organization’s LANs, WANs, and wireless deployments.
  • Ensure the secure/stable operation and efficient performance of company networks.
  • Monitor system capacity to determine its effect on performance and recommend enhancements to meet new or changing network demands.
  • Identify and remedy network performance bottlenecks.
  • Configure and troubleshoot servers, including e-mail, print, and backup servers and their associated operating systems and software.
  • Install and configure all network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches, hubs, and so on.
  • Test network/server performance and provide network/server performance statistics and reports;
  • Proper update of IT asset documents, including maintenance of component inventory and related documentation.
  • Adhere to change policies and all IT Operations process/procedures and Configuration items.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Network Availability & Performance Monitoring.
  • Ensure the stability and integrity of in-house wireless network services, Video and Voice services.
  • Developing wireless local area networks (WLANs) across the organization.
  • Analyze and resolve WLAN hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end-user training where required.
  • This includes developing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all new and existing network hardware, software, and communication links.
  • To ensure continuous uninterrupted operation of network and communication infrastructure within the frame of the agreed service levels.
  • To manage business continuity and disaster recovery operations and ensure there is99.99% service Availability and zero data loss in the event of disaster events.

Qualifications:

  • First Degree in IT-related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience.
