JOB DESCRIPTION<\/strong>
\n\u2022Provide day to day on-site supervision of drilling operations and prepare reports to the Drilling Operations Superintendent
\n\u2022Serve as the primary contact with the rig contractor and third party personnel at the rig site to ensure that operations are performed safely and cost-effectively in accordance with approved well program
\n\u2022Logistical planning and coordination of personnel, equipment, supplies andservices\u00a0to ensure that twenty four hour operations are maintained
\n\u2022Responsible for well control, real time drilling optimization, casing tallies, cementing calculations and completion tallies and spaceout
\n\u2022Organise and order necessary\u00a0services\u00a0and equipment to conduct drilling, completion, workover and testing operations
\n\u2022Responsible for enforcement of approved Safety, Health, Environment andSecurity\u00a0procedures to manage operational risks and prevent harm to personnel, environment and equipment
\n\u2022Ensure that third party equipment is adequately and properly maintained.
\n\u2022Ensure compliance with all government and other appropriate regulations; including education of all rig personnel on safety and related issues.
\n\u2022Ensure that well control, marine safety and other\u00a0drills\u00a0are held on a regular basis per company guidelines.
\n\u2022Ensure accurate and adequate reports and records are kept regarding operations, equipment and evaluation<\/p>\n

REQUIREMENTS OF CANDIDATE<\/strong>
\n\u2022Candidates should possess a minimum of Bachelors degree (B. Sc\/ B. Tech\/ B. Eng) with a minimum of second class upper division (2.1) in any of the following
\nEngineering\u00a0disciplines \u2013 Mechanical, Chemical, electrical, civil or Petroleum\u00a0Engineering
\n\u2022Proficiency in the use of\u00a0Microsoft Office Suite.
\n\u2022Requires a team player with good interpersonal skills and ability to thrive in a multi-discipline, multi-cultural environment
\n\u2022Good written and Oral\u00a0communication skills, integrity, be zealous and quick to acquire new expertise through\u00a0training
\n\u2022Prior cognate experience in rig operations or\u00a0engineering\u00a0will be an\u00a0addedadvantage.<\/p>\n
