{"id":10376,"date":"2011-07-17T18:54:49","date_gmt":"2011-07-17T17:54:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/?p=10376"},"modified":"2011-07-17T18:58:03","modified_gmt":"2011-07-17T17:58:03","slug":"university-of-ilorin-unilorin-post-utme-screening-2011-2012-details","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/university-of-ilorin-unilorin-post-utme-screening-2011-2012-details.html","title":{"rendered":"University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) Post UTME Screening 2011\/ 2012 Details"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><strong>UNIVERSITY OF ILORIN, ILORIN, NIGERIA\u00a02011\/2012 PRE-ADMISSION SCREENING EXERCISE<\/strong><\/div>\n<div>The University of Ilorin invites Candidates who have applied for admission into the Undergraduate degree programmes of the University for the 2011\/2012 academic session \u00a0to upload the required information for the Screening Exercise between Monday 18th July, 2011 \u00a0and Saturday, 6th\u00a0August 2011.<!--more--><\/div>\n<div>Any awaiting results must be uploaded on or before Monday 15th August, 2011 when the Portal shall be closed. The<\/div>\n<div>Pre-admission Screening Exercise will commence on the \u00a08th August, 2011 at \u00a0Ilorin, Lagos and Minna centres .<\/div>\n<div><strong>The following categories of candidates are eligible:<\/strong><\/div>\n<div>A. UTME candidates who made the University of Ilorin their first and\/or second<\/div>\n<div>choice and scored:<\/div>\n<div>(i) a minimum of 200 marks in the UTME for courses other than those\u00a0listed in (ii) and (iii) below,\u00a0and five (5) \u2018O\u2019 level Credits \u00a0in relevant subjects at not more than two sittings.<\/div>\n<div>(ii) a \u00a0 score of 220 marks in \u00a0UTME \u00a0for Accounting, Biochemistry,<\/div>\n<div>Business Administration, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering,<\/div>\n<div>Computer Science, \u00a0Common Law, \u00a0Economics, English, Electrical<\/div>\n<div>Engineering, Finance, Geology, Industrial Chemistry, Mass<\/div>\n<div>Communication, Mechanical Engineering, Microbiology, \u00a0Pharmacy<\/div>\n<div>and Veterinary \u00a0Medicine and \u00a0five (5) \u00a0\u2018O\u2019 level \u00a0Credits in relevant subjects at not more than two sittings.<\/div>\n<div>iii) MB;BS candidates who obtained:<\/div>\n<div>(a) a score of 240 marks in the UTME and<\/div>\n<div>(b) Credit Passes at one sitting only in the Senior Secondary School<\/div>\n<div>Certificate Examination or its equivalence in each of the following<\/div>\n<div>subjects: \u00a0 English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.<\/div>\n<div><strong>B. DIRECT ENTRY candidates who made \u00a0the \u00a0University of Ilorin their first\u00a0and\/or second choice and have obtained a minimum of:<\/strong><\/div>\n<div>(i) Upper Credit at OND\/HND\/Diploma (except for Statistics, Agriculture,<\/div>\n<div>Performing Arts and History, where Lower Credit may be considered).<\/div>\n<div>Also, note that the Department of Business Administration will not accept National Diploma in Business Administration \u00a0or Diploma in Marketing.<\/div>\n<div>(ii) Merit in NCE; and<\/div>\n<div>(iii) A minimum of two (2) Advanced level passes in two relevant subjects.<\/div>\n<div>(iv) MB;BS candidates must have obtained a minimum of:<\/div>\n<div>(a) 13 points in IJMB or GCE Advanced Level Examination in the relevant subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology or<\/div>\n<div>(b) Second Class (Upper Division) \u00a0Honours Degree in Zoology,<\/div>\n<div>Microbiology, Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry or any other relevant courses in the Basic Sciences.<\/div>\n<div>All candidates must strictly disclose the choice of courses they applied for originally with JAMB as well as any proposed change of course. \u00a0 Candidates seeking change of course will be required to pay change of course fee after admission. \u00a0Withholding of information or wrong information will lead to instant disqualification.<\/div>\n<div><strong>C. Foreign candidates \u00a0who \u00a0have not taken part in the UTME or filled Direct<\/strong><\/div>\n<div>Entry form can reach the University Admissions Officer at<\/div>\n<div>admissionsofficer@unilorin.edu.ng for information \u00a0on admission into the University.<\/div>\n<div>Foreign candidates will not be required to make any payment at this stage.<\/div>\n<div><strong>D. Specific Instructions for Screening:<\/strong><\/div>\n<div>University of Ilorin charges \u00a0N1,000.00 \u00a0only for the Screening Exercise.<\/div>\n<div>Procure the virtual card (i.e. \u00a0Confirmation order number and Receipt number) for the payment from any of the following banks:<\/div>\n<div>FIRST BANK PLC, ACCESS BANK PLC, AFRIBANK PLC, BANK PHB PLC, ECOBANK<\/div>\n<div>PLC, FIDELITY BANK PLC, FIRST CITY MONUMENT BANK PLC, FIN BANK PLC,<\/div>\n<div>GUARANTY TRUST BANK PLC, INTERCONTINENTAL BANK PLC, OCEANIC BANK<\/div>\n<div>PLC, SKYE BANK PLC, SPRING BANK PLC, STANBIC \u00a0IBTC BANK PLC, STERLING<\/div>\n<div>BANK PLC, UNION BANK PLC, UNITED BANK FOR AFRICA PLC, WEMA BANK PLC<\/div>\n<div>AND ZENITH BANK PLC.<\/div>\n<div>In addition to the above, all branches of First Bank Plc have been requested to<\/div>\n<div>assist candidates who may have challenges with their payment.<\/div>\n<div>Candidates are to obtain an e-Tranzact reloadable card which contains the Confirmation order number and Receipt number to be used for the online registration.<\/div>\n<div>E. SCREENING REGISTRATION AND PROCEDURES<\/div>\n<div>i) EVERY CANDIDATE SHOULD COMPLETE AND SUBMIT ON-LINE THE<\/div>\n<div>REGISTRATION FORM FOR SCREENING ON OR BEFORE SATURDAY 6TH AUGUST 2011.ii) ALL CANDIDATES SHOULD FILL THE BEST FIVE (5) \u2018O\u2019 LEVEL SUBJECT<\/div>\n<div>COMBINATION (AT NOT MORE THAN TWO \u00a0SITTINGS EXCEPT AS<\/div>\n<div>STATED IN A iii b) RELEVANT TO THE COURSE OF STUDY.<\/div>\n<div>For example:<\/div>\n<div>Medicine: English Language, Mathematics, Physics, \u00a0Chemistry \u00a0and Biology.<\/div>\n<div>Common Law: English Language, Literature-in-English and any other<\/div>\n<div>3 subjects from \u00a0Arts and\/or \u00a0Social Sciences.
