Within a few years, the hospital expanded its scope of practice into a full-fledged private multispecialty hospital. The core vision of the organisation is to provide world-class healthcare services to patients in Nigeria, West Africa, and globally.<\/p>\n<p>With hospitals located in both Abuja and Lagos, our services accommodate over one hundred (100) beds and provide services and facilities such as emergency \/ trauma center, a helipad, major radiology diagnostic center, a prosthetic manufacturing plant, an oxygen manufacturing plant, modular surgical operating theatres, cardiac catheterization unit and several other facilities that make for a modern multispecialty hospital. We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Cost Accountant<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Abuja<br \/>\n<strong>Ref No:<\/strong> CA00001<br \/>\n<strong> Employment Type:<\/strong> Full-time<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Role<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Reporting primarily to the Finance Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for performing cost analysis and preparing budget reports, create detailed reports that present cost-effective solutions for the hospital.<\/li>\n<li>The incumbent will ultimately build updated databases and manage cost information to maximize profitability.<\/li>\n<li>The role holder must be proficient in computer skills, creating databases, and be able to help an organization to establish a stable budget within their specifications<\/li>\n<li>The role of the Cost Accountant involves preparing periodic cost forecasts, analysing and reporting profit margins.<\/li>\n<li>The responsibility also includes collecting cost information and maintain an expenses database.<\/li>\n<li>The incumbent will review services, record data and make recommendations about cost-efficient and financially feasible cost options.<\/li>\n<li>This role manages vast amounts of numerical data to calculate profit margins and recommend ways for an organization to minimize their costs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide management with reports that specify and compare factors that affect prices and profitability of products or services.<\/li>\n<li>Comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial statements.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in audits and general ledger preparation.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinatee tariff preparation, adjustment, implementation and routine review<\/li>\n<li>Review receipts and compare with actual charges to detect inaccuracies<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with the procurement team to carryout routine price review<\/li>\n<li>Plan budgets and prepare reports for multiple departments within the hospital<\/li>\n<li>Develop and maintain the cost accounting system, documents and records for the hospital.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct inventory reserve analysis on a quarterly basis and generate reports for senior management.<\/li>\n<li>Project profit margins for upcoming quarters and analyse trends of highs and lows<\/li>\n<li>Review rates of depreciation, labor and overhead and suggest policy changes to improve numbers.<\/li>\n<li>Analyse month-end and year-end reports to identify and recommend cost-effective improvements<\/li>\n<li>Carryout project cost-benefit analysis and make necessary recommendations<\/li>\n<li>Establish standard costs and update them as appropriate.<\/li>\n<li>Analyse and recommend costs and cost savings.<\/li>\n<li>Respect for confidentiality of information laws and local ethics<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and complete internal cost audits.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>B.Sc degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics<\/li>\n<li>Professional certification with Chartered Management Accountant (CIMA),\u00a0 ICAN etc is an added advantage<\/li>\n<li>3+ years&#8217;
