U.S. Consulate General Lagos is the Mission\u2019s representative to the Nigerian people in the southern region.\u00a0We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Travel Coordinator &#8211; U.S. Citizen Eligible Family Members (USEFMs)<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong> Lagos<br \/>\n<strong>Announcement Number:<\/strong> Lagos-2020-023RA-2<br \/>\n<strong>Hiring Agency:<\/strong> Consulate General Lagos<br \/>\n<strong>Series \/ Grade:<\/strong> FP &#8211; 0910 8<br \/>\n<strong>Promotion Potential:<\/strong> FP-8<br \/>\n<strong>Work Schedule:<\/strong> Full-time &#8211; 40 hours per week<\/p>\n<p><strong>Overview<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hiring Path: Open to the public<\/li>\n<li>Who May Apply \/ Clarification From the Agency: For USEFM &#8211; FP is 8.\u00a0 Actual FP salary determined by Washington D.C.<\/li>\n<li>U.S Citizen Eligible Family Members (USEFMs)<\/li>\n<li>Security Clearance Required: Secret<\/li>\n<li>Appointment Type: Permanent<\/li>\n<li>Appointment Type Details: Indefinite subject to successful completion of probationary period<\/li>\n<li>Marketing Statement: We encourage you to read and understand the <a href=\"https:\/\/careers.state.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/Eight-Qualities-of-Overseas-Employees.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Eight (8) Qualities of Overseas Employees<\/a> before you apply.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The work schedule for this position is: Full Time (40 hours per week)<\/li>\n<li>Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time (6 weeks) of receipt of agency authorization and \/ or clearances \/ certifications or their candidacy may end.<\/li>\n<li>Supervisory Position: No<\/li>\n<li>Relocation Expenses Reimbursed: No<\/li>\n<li>Travel Required: Not Required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Duties<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Incumbent will coordinate all USG official travel in the U.S. Consulate Lagos District and track all USG employee movements.<\/li>\n<li>Based on contact and open source reporting, the incumbent will make recommendations concerning travel to the RSO for his \/ her final approval.<\/li>\n<li>S \/ he will stay up to date with current threats via daily contact with RSO or his \/ her delegate, RSOs of other foreign missions, NGOs, Nigeria police and open source information (newspaper, internet, television).<\/li>\n<li>Incumbent will refer to information gathered from contacts and open source when submitting travel recommendations to RSO.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain a weekly travel publication to be disseminated to RSO and section heads.<\/li>\n<li>S \/ he will communication and coordinate with U.S. Government employees on all official travel in Nigeria and more specifically the US Consulate Lagos District, in accordance with the mission Travel Policy and all applicable U.S. Government guidelines and regulations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications and Evaluations<\/strong><br \/>\nRequirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience: Two years experience in clerical duties using Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Outlook on a daily basic is required.<\/li>\n<li>Evaluations: This may be tested.
