We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: <\/strong><strong>Registered Nurse<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong> Abuja<br \/>\n<strong>Announcement Number:<\/strong> Abuja-2019-066RA-2<br \/>\n<strong>Hiring Agency:<\/strong> Embassy Abuja<br \/>\n<strong>Series \/ Grade:<\/strong> FP &#8211; 0510 5<br \/>\n<strong>Work Schedule:<\/strong> Full-time &#8211; 40 hours per week<br \/>\n<strong>Promotion Potential:<\/strong> FP-5<br \/>\n<strong>Security Clearance Required:<\/strong> Public Trust &#8211; Background Investigation<br \/>\nAppointment Type: Permanent<br \/>\nAppointment Type Details: Definite not to Exceed (5 years)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Overview<\/strong><br \/>\nHiring Path:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Open to the public<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Who May Apply \/ Clarification From the Agency:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>For USEFM &#8211; FS is 05\/1.\u00a0 Actual FS salary determined by Washington D.C.<\/li>\n<li>Current Employees of the Mission &#8211; All Agencies and\/or U.S. Citizen Eligible Family Members (USEFMs); Eligible Family Members (EFMs); or Declared Members of Household (MOHs) &#8211; All Agencies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The work schedule for this position is: Full Time (40 hours per week)<\/li>\n<li>Start Date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time (6 weeks) of receipt of agency authorization and \/ or clearances \/ certifications or their candidacy may end.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Basic Function of the Position <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The incumbent serves as the post\u2019s nurse with responsibilities that include the medical care of Mission employees and eligible family members under MED approved clinical guidelines, as well as maintenance and inventory of all medical equipment and supplies<\/li>\n<li>S\/he implements a robust vaccination program, administration of group and individual health education programs, and medical emergency contingency planning for the Mission<\/li>\n<li>S\/he works in the Medical Unit under the direct supervision of the Regional Medical Officer (RMO) or Medical Provider (MP).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications and Evaluations<\/strong><br \/>\nEducation Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree (RN Level) in Nursing or Diploma \/ Certificate equivalent from an accredited School of Nursing with a valid nursing license or a current unrestricted Registered Nursing license from Nigeria, country of origin, or the U.S.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Two (2) years of post-qualification work as a professional nurse is required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Job Knowledge:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must possess critical-thinking skills and comprehends MED\u2019s policies and procedures regarding medical evacuations, hospitalizations, and insurance reimbursement methodology, as well as current knowledge of local and regional medical services that can provide care for all acuity levels, including vetted specialists and hospitals<\/li>\n<li>Good working knowledge of MED\u2019s RN Clinical Practice Guidelines as well as familiarity with American Nursing Standards of Care are required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Evaluations:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This may be tested. Please your level of proficiency in the language listed.<\/li>\n<li>Language: Good working knowledge in English is required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skills and Abilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Basic computer skills, with proficiency in the use of Microsoft word is required.
