Our 7,000+ team is drawn from diverse backgrounds and professions.<\/p>\n<p>With operations across six core countries in Africa, we make farmers more prosperous by providing quality farm supplies on credit, delivered within walking distance of farmers\u2019 homes, and agricultural training to improve harvests. On average, our farmers harvest 50 percent more food after working with One Acre Fund. We are recruiting to fill the positions below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Nigeria Logistics and Procurement Specialist<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location: <\/strong>Niger<br \/>\n<strong> Employment Type:<\/strong> Full-time<\/p>\n<p><strong>About the Role<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We are piloting our innovative approach to improving farmer livelihoods in Niger State. In 2021, we plan to grow from 1,800+ farmers, while investing in systems, people, and processes to allow us to grow to 10,000 farmers by 2022.<\/li>\n<li>The Logistics &amp; Procurement Coordinator reports to the Systems Associate; manage transportation, warehousing and last-mile distribution of the products we sell to farmers while trying out new approaches to ensure the pilot can scale to +10,000 farmers within the next two years.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><br \/>\nProcurement:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>End-to-end vendor screening, selection, procurement and relationship management, ensuring that all One Acre Fund procurement guidelines are followed.<\/li>\n<li>Support forecasting and procurement of over +300 Metric Tonnes in products for the 2021 season.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Warehousing:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage and track all inventory on SAP and internal data-management systems<\/li>\n<li>Plan and prepare warehouse layouts to ensure effective security and efficient storage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Coordinate the delivery to and receipt of inputs at the warehouse:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage and train the Warehouse Coordinator on One Acre Fund logistics policies and oversee hiring and coordination of warehouse casuals.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct monthly warehouse inventory audits<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Last-mile Delivery:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assess delivery sites in our farmers\u2019 communities and schedule delivery across 20+ rural locations.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain year-round inventory and delivery of products to support sales through local markets<\/li>\n<li>Recommend changes and improvements to current pilot systems<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please note: this is subject to addition or subtraction of responsibilities at the organization\u2019s discretion.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Career Growth and Development:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We have a strong culture of constant learning and we invest in developing our people.<\/li>\n<li>You\u2019ll have weekly check-ins with your manager, access to mentorship and training programs, and regular feedback on your performance.
