Altara is built on serving the underbanked and the otherwise financially excluded.<\/p>\n<p>Our debut service is\u201cbuy now, pay later\u201dwhere we allow formal &amp; informal sector workers, and SME owners to purchase a variety of products and equipment for their homes and businesses but instead of paying for the products in full upfront, pay small amount overtime. We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Junior Accountant<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location<\/strong>: (Oyo Town \/ Ogbomosho) Oyo<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> Full-time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We are looking to hire a \u201cJunior Accountant\u201d. This is a role where you will report directly to the Internal Accounting Analyst. In this capacity, you will be responsible for providing the financial results of the company.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><br \/>\nFurther responsibilities include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bookkeep, prepare, and record journal entries.<\/li>\n<li>Track income and expenses, and be able to prepare detailed revenue and expense reports when necessary.<\/li>\n<li>Complete monthly bank and revenue account reconciliations.<\/li>\n<li>Interface with managers and executives concerning questions and issues.<\/li>\n<li>Support external audit requirements related to specific areas of responsibility.<\/li>\n<li>Daily reconciliation of accounts.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with monthly end Reconciliation of accounts (Purchases, sales, inventory, expenses, transfers, payments, deposits).<\/li>\n<li>Work to continuously improve accounting\/finance procedures and internal controls.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Accounting from an accredited university<\/li>\n<li>1 year+ of working for a consumer finance company, Microfinance Company or a bank.<\/li>\n<li>Great attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Excellent written and facial interpersonal, communication, and persuasion skills.<\/li>\n<li>Strong mathematical skills.<\/li>\n<li>Commitment to achieving performance goals.<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity and experience using accounting technology programs.<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with tax accounting for finance companies in Nigeria, highly required.<\/li>\n<li>Great at time management, multitasking, and prioritizations skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should send their applications to:\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:recruitment@altaracredit.com\">hr.altaracredit@gmail.com<\/a><\/strong> containing:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Your resume (1-page max.)<\/li>\n<li>A short paragraph as to why you are interested in the role (Half a page)<\/li>\n<li>In 5 bullet points, choose 5 individual responsibilities (listed above) and express why you would excel in the role with an example of a project you have completed in the past to support each point.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>12th December, 2020.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Altara Credit Limited (\u201cAltara\u201d) is a Nigerian consumer and business services venture.
