We are a boutique hotel with a home-away-from-home experience: well-cooked homely meals in our round-the-clock restaurant, insanely comfortable rooms, with custom orthopedic beds and always-fresh sheets, fully stocked bathrooms and lots more.\u00a0We are recruiting to fill the position below:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Accountant<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location: <\/strong>Lekki, Lagos<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> Full-time<br \/>\n<strong>Grade:<\/strong> Mid-level<br \/>\n<strong>Department:<\/strong> Accounts department<br \/>\n<strong>Reports to:<\/strong> General Manager<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Expectation Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Accountant will assist in making critical business decisions by analysing and presenting regular and ad hoc key financial reports.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Essential Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>He \/ she will be responsible for the integrity of the accounting system by ensuring that accounting transactions are posted, and financial reports are produced on a timely basis.<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining financial documents and a robust filing system<\/li>\n<li>Preparing and monitoring budget and cash flow<\/li>\n<li>Preparing financial reports for internal and external use on a monthly and quarterly basis<\/li>\n<li>Managing compliance with Nigerian tax laws<\/li>\n<li>Managing petty cash transactions<\/li>\n<li>Entering accurate and timely transaction information into the accounting system<\/li>\n<li>Reviewing payment request, reconciling documents and ensure compliance with the company\u2019s policies<\/li>\n<li>Managing payroll for staff and expense reimbursements for all staff<\/li>\n<li>Preparing cash flow statements and expenditure accounts<\/li>\n<li>Any other responsibility assigned by management<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications, Experience, skills, and attributes<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of a first degree in Accounting, Finance, or business-related course.<\/li>\n<li>Member of ACCA, ICAN is an added advantage<\/li>\n<li>2 years previous experience as an ACCOUNTANT or related position or similar role in a medium sized organization.<\/li>\n<li>Financial management and financial reporting skills.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent verbal, analytical, organizational and written skills<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of various financial reporting forms &#8211; an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Strong personal integrity and accountability.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent organizational skills and a team player<\/li>\n<li>Leadership skills<\/li>\n<li>Knowledgeable in internal control<\/li>\n<li>Mentally stable and emotionally intelligent.<\/li>\n<li>Adequate knowledge of modern management techniques and best practices.<\/li>\n<li>Deep knowledge of best practices in financial management required<\/li>\n<li>Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously<\/li>\n<li>Excellent knowledge of Excel, Access, and PowerPoint required; familiarity with Peachtree, QuickBooks or similar finance and accounting software, preferred<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Salary <\/strong><br \/>\nN80,000.00 &#8211;\u00a0N100,000.00 \/ month<\/p>\n<p><strong>To Apply <\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should send their Applications to: <strong><a href=\"mailto:reservations@thestrathavenhotel.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reservations@thestrathavenhotel.com<\/a><\/strong> using the Job Title and Location as the subject of the email containing<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline: \u00a0<\/strong>23rd December, 2020.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Strathaven Hotel is breath of fresh air in the hospitality space in Lekki, Lagos.
