We continue to actively develop and invest in new projects and opportunities in ports and terminal management.<br \/>\n<strong>Job Title: Finance Manager<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; APM Terminals, Onne, Rivers State, Nigeria, Nigeria<br \/>\n<strong>Ref:<\/strong>\u00a061267<br \/>\nFinance Manager \u2013 West Africa Container Terminal Nigeria Limited (WACT Nigeria)<br \/>\nManager Level \u2013 local\/expat position<br \/>\nThe position reports to the Managing Director.<br \/>\nWACT Nigeria offers you a position with the opportunity to have a direct impact on business decisions and results.<\/p>\n<div>The desired candidate should provide overall direction and leadership to the finance and administration functions\/staff. This candidate should be able to work well independently and also as a team member.<br \/>\n<strong>Key Competencies\/Skills:<\/strong><br \/>\nThe ideal candidate possesses following skills:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Extensive knowledge of setting of budgets, reporting in HFM\/ZIMPL, inventory control systems and accounting, knowledge of ERP systems, IFS financials software is an advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Extensive knowledge of APM Terminals operational practices preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in the operation of APM Terminals container facilities preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Analyzes performance statistics and trends in order to identify areas for improvements and cost savings i.e. cost saving potentials<\/li>\n<li>Good communication, negotiation and networking skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to provide leadership, obtain cooperation and assistance to meet objectives<\/li>\n<li>Sense of urgency and result orientation.<\/li>\n<li>Business and financial acumen<\/li>\n<li>The position will require you to perform as a Leader of Others.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Experience and knowledge required:<\/strong><br \/>\nEducation \u2013 Master Degree in Finance\/ACCA\/CA preferred.<br \/>\nExperience \u2013 Minimum 5 years of demonstrated financial management experience<br \/>\n<strong>Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To drive and lead finance and accounting, provide accurate and timely financial information and allowing Managing Director and the board to make informed and financially backed decisions.<\/li>\n<li>Take ownership of WACT Nigeria financial information to influence Commercial decisions Facilitate performance tracking in line with KPI Scorecards and business plans.<\/li>\n<li>Achieve the Company\u2019s and its customer\u2019s expectations with regard to operational efficiency, productivity and reliability.<\/li>\n<li>Develop the local finance organization.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure all corporate accounting is done accurately, systematically and timely.<\/li>\n<li>Supervise the job of manager accounting, manager receivables and admin manager.<\/li>\n<li>Measure and monitor performance against critical criteria, Finance\/ Accounting policy and guidelines established by APM Terminals.<\/li>\n<li>Help to achieve the set financial budgets for the Operations Division.<\/li>\n<li>Manage employee performance issues including training, appraisals, discipline and grievances.<\/li>\n<li>Coach, train and delegate responsibilities to subordinates with the long-term objective of having them take over roles that are more senior.<\/li>\n<li>Drive identification of local opportunities to improve profitability<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/goo.gl\/8lqP0\" target=\"_blank\">Apply for this job<\/a><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Application Deadline: 5th January, 2012\u00a0<\/strong><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>APM Terminals\u00a0is one of the largest container terminal operators in the world.
