The sugar-refining factory at Apapa port was commissioned in 2001 with an initial installed capacity to process 600,000 MT of raw sugar per annum.\u00a0The refinery has since undergone two expansions increasing the production capacity to about 1.44 million MT per annum, making it the largest sugar refinery in sub Saharan Africa and second largest in the world.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Mechanical Technician<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><br \/>\nPerform online maintenance checks to ensure machines function optimally.<br \/>\nUse meter and hand-held tools to diagnose components that need repair.<br \/>\nTake apart equipment to examine or repair parts.<br \/>\nReassemble equipment and test for performance and safety.<br \/>\nMaintain logbook for recording all operations and activities of the plant.<br \/>\nQualification &amp; Experience<br \/>\nTechnical certificate parts I &amp; II, C &amp; G or OND in mechanical engineering with.<br \/>\nSix (6) years relevant experience in mechanical maintenance work in heavy<br \/>\nEngineering industries preferably in the food and allied industries.<br \/>\nNot more than 35 years.<br \/>\nElectrical and Mechanical knowledge<br \/>\nAttention to details and possess good sense of judgment<br \/>\nSound maintenance skills in handling conveyors, heating and pressure Vessels, pumps and clarifiers.<br \/>\n<strong>THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL BE REQUIRED TO WORK SHIFTS<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Method of Application<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested candidates should please forward their CVs to <strong>srefinery@dangote-group.com<\/strong>, Latest 24th January 2012.
