{"id":12259,"date":"2012-01-25T23:27:37","date_gmt":"2012-01-25T22:27:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/?p=12259"},"modified":"2016-11-11T11:33:53","modified_gmt":"2016-11-11T10:33:53","slug":"british-american-tobacco-leaf-instructor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/british-american-tobacco-leaf-instructor.html","title":{"rendered":"British American Tobacco: Leaf Instructor"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/bat.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-21\" title=\"bat\" src=\"https:\/\/joblistnigeria.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/bat.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"114\" height=\"78\" \/><\/a>British American Tobacco Nigeria<\/strong>, a fully owned subsidiary of the British American Tobacco Group is a leading producer of tobacco products in Nigeria.<\/p>\n<p>BAT Nigeria is recruiting to fill the position of<\/p>\n<div><strong>Job Title: Leaf Instructor<!--more--><\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong>Reference Number<\/strong>: MA\/NIG\/NGN\/LI\/23-01-12<\/div>\n<div><strong>Location<\/strong>: Iseyin, Oyo State<\/div>\n<div>Remuneration: TBA<\/div>\n<div><strong>Reports to<\/strong>: Crop Manager<\/div>\n<div>Requisition Number: 1<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><strong>Principal Accountabilities:<\/strong><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure target crop volume is purchased.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure target average yield per hectare is achieved.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure agreed best practices are fully implemented.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure crop production target allocated to farmers are utilitized to optimum productivity.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure an hitch free Organisation &amp; distribution of crop input with up to date records.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the required number of farmers are recruited.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure Farmers are well organised to deliver target crop volume.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure Farmers\u2019 loans are kept within Category limits.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure Full recovery of applicable farmers\u2019 loans.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain a good relationship with peers and farmers resulting in enhanced productivity.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain a good relationship with other stakeholders in the community for sustained tobacco production.<\/li>\n<li>Be Open to and accept new ways of doing things.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure full implementation of alternative to wood fuel experiment and other initiatives.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><strong>Knowledge, Skills and Experience:<\/strong><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Possess at least a minimum of OND\/NCE in Agriculture.<\/li>\n<li>Should be mature and physically agile.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to observe, and diagnose agronomic problems on the crop and proffer workable solution to obtain optimal productivity.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to recruit, supervise and control farmers for the achievement of production targets.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to monitor tobacco quality, grading, baling and presentation at buying in accordance with agreed grade specification.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to render accurate production estimates useable for effective management control of operations and planning.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to monitor loans disbursement to and recovery from farmers for sustained production.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to effectively understand, implement and \u201ccascade\u201d technical information and new concepts to farmers.<\/li>\n<li>Past experience in tobacco production will be an added advantage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline<\/strong><br \/>\n31st January, 2012<\/p>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested and qualified candidates should:<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.batwaa.drm-za.com\/Default.asp?Job=scb\/Details_Page.asp?ProductID=1862\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Click here to apply online<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>British American Tobacco Nigeria, a fully owned subsidiary of the British American Tobacco Group is a leading producer of tobacco products in Nigeria.
